Hello!
It's been a while..again. I'll start by saying that I'm getting closer and closer to finishing the map, and progress is coming along very steadily. The entire map is now textured properly, which has been one of the most tedious processes so far due to the amount of considerations that goes into texturing and trying to make it all fit within the general aestethic im trying to go for, while being limited to the textures that ships with source games (hl2, css, episodics)

I've decided keep the use of custom textures to the minimum, as to not stray away from the general feel of a GMod map, and also see how far i can stretch my imagination. (example: the blue building in the thumbnail uses a door texture)
I will however use custom textures for signs and billboards, aswell as custom assets created using propper . These will of course be packed into the BSP.
When it comes to file size, when all custom assets were packed into the same file as the map itself, the total file size ended up around 200MB. This will naturally increase as I add more custom assets.

The map is in fact in a shippable state, but I'd like to add more details and custom assets, and really try to see how far i can get before i hit performance and engine limitations (within reason of course). Getting the texturing out of the way has been really motivating, as I'm finally starting to see the world come to life.

Optimization is also pretty good. The map runs suprisingly smooth on even lower-end hardware. (120-180 FPS on average) Framerates will of course differ depending on the players placement.
Due to engine limitations the framerate will often drop to a little below 60FPS if the player is standing really high up (like on a tall building)
Tested on a rig using an AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB
(Similar in performance to an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060)
