Do the launch flares have any function or is it just decoration?
Hello. I tried the launch flares but I don't know if it's decoration or has some real function, can someone answer my question?

if you have tracking missiles that track too metal then yes, but it is really hard for missiles to track the flares due to how small they are but i have tested and some can

the 4 chaff flares are flare sticks with ion thrusters attached, just for decor i think

a really funny thing happened to me i fired flares after shooting like 4 lock ons at the jet and the flares all hit the missiles and destroyed them all
