guns ideas
First of all, congratulations for your work since I really enjoyed this balanced and lore-friendly weapon mod. Here I humbly a list of weapons that could follow the characteristics mentioned above and above all according to the time that the game places in the 90s

-winchester m1887 as the swachineger in terminator 2
-a mac 10 like the one from residetn evil 2
-m60 a classic of the vietnam war
- an m16/m203 like the one in scarface
-an m1a1 or tommy gun and an m1 garand 2 american classics from the WWII
- L115A1 a hight tier sniper for a change

I like the m16/203 idea, would have to figure out how to make the 203 work though.

mac10 and tommy gun are basically garunteed once I start working on new guns again.

L96A1 (L115 is the newer version I believe) is possible, but would feel like adding too much.

M60 maybe but not sure a belt fed machinegun really fits the setting.

1887 would be cool for sure.

some little doubts? How do I make the mufflers with oil filters? can they be found on the map?
Just gonna throw something I've suggested before, but an M249 might be more of a game changer than an m60, as all the m60 would be in the end is an m14 you have to reload less, no one is going to full auto a 7.62x51 wep that's simply 4-5 m14 mags in one as they'll simply pick to use it as a high capacity DMR, while an M249 could be a 200 belt buzzsaw and actually has a distinct use over other guns and a capacity that actually would make a difference. While an M60 might make more sense from the perspective of National Guard troops, the m249 makes more sense given the guys at the event line checkpoint are probably Army airborne units flown in from Somalia or something(given they use desert camo)

I like your idea, and the military did use the M249 by this point irl, however, even Airborne troops didn't get the 249 quite yet. My dad joined the Army in 94 and the M60 was still the main squad automatic weapon, and he was in the 82nd.

I'm tempted, this is just a theory, but the event line troops are probably units quickly flown in from Somalia, as that's happening at the same time as the game, hence the desert troops. So they likely are frontline combat troops and would be more likely to have M249s maybe.

Perhaps, if there would be 249s, it'd likely be in some sort of integration along with the M60 with the exception of it being much less common than the M60. Idk how I feel overall with having machine guns in the game, it's cool in concept and realistic to be able to find but I kinda feel like it'll begin to dip its toes into the realm of Brita's Weapon Pack at that point.

the grand would be easy just do some tweaks to the m14 model give it eight rounds and boom new weapon

It would rock I tell you. Don't take it in a way that we are forcing you to do as we want but next to Britas, you and Firearms B41 are the only ones that stick to lore friendly armory content and again it would be really good if you try to add more variants of weapons

Plus, will there be a variety of the existing weapons (such as MP5 and MP5K or Ak rifle with wooden stock etc)

I confirm it's great that it's lore friendly without the need to be broken like Brits don't force yourself if you don't feel comfortable bro

m110 semi auto marksman rifle? since i don't think the 762x51 natos are being used other than the bolt action rifles.
