I've been trying to solve a problem when mining with a full inventory where the game starts to lag increasingly, until it gets stuck and receives no inputs. I believe Boss Checklist is responsible, surprisingly. Didn't think it had anything to do with item pickups but here we are.

This behaviour is the same every time the lag attack happens. Laggy area goes away after 30+ seconds

I'm unsure if this happens without Quality of Life's Huge Inventory enabled, but i'm too scared of messing up my world/belongings to turn it off and test. It may just be when you try to mine something, spawning many items, and your character can't put them in its vanilla inventory because there's no space. In my case they then go into my Huge Inventory from that mod like a Void Bag, but maybe Boss Checklist can't handle that very well?

I tried disabling the item collection settings in Boss Checklist's configuration but nothing changed. The only thing that stops this lag attack from happening is disabling boss checklist entirely :(

I too am using Fargo's Mutant and Fargo's Best of Both Worlds, but I don't know if they're truly related to the lag, or if Huge Inventory from QoL Mod is either. All I know for sure is that disabling Boss Checklist and only Boss Checklist has completely prevented the lag in all of my tests.

Finally here's a list of all enabled mods when the lag happens, though disabling any number of them doesn't help (note: I didn't disable the huge important ones such as calamity, QoL mod, Magic Storage—I don't want to brick my world, that has already happened enough as of late...)

I hope this helps you work this out, if boss checklist really is responsible (I don't truly know for sure which mod is the real driver of the lag. All testing just points to this one, that's all). Let me know if you want any more info.
