This is more of just a general-themed idea list. But in the future, would you be interested in creating other factions or units themed around nautical races?
A Merfolk faction/units could be really cool: You could give them tridents and bows, maybe some blades.

Other ideas include giving their casters some spells from the Lore of Heavens (think of all the forked lightning spells sometimes employed by them in fiction) and Lore of the Deep.
They could sing songs as battle hymms, to lure or debuff enemies like sirens, or lull them to rest with lullabies.
You could have oracles with pearls that can foretell the future or serve as a type of caster possibly.
A possible faction leader/lord/hero could be Triton from the old Man 'O War lore. He'd essentially be a giant merman (not unlike Poseidon from Golden Sun The Lost Age) capable of causing natural disasters and shipwrecks. Lorewise he was speculated to be either a demigod and avatar of Manaan (similar to Orion and Ariel and their elven gods) or a being similar to a greater demon created by Manaan to represent him. He may be a bit too big in the lore to be a unit though lol, as he's seen skewering small ships on his trident in his artwork.
An Ursula-style squid merfolk could be a neat idea.
Aside from them, you could also go in a more Sahuagin or Deep One-style direction, creating Creature from the Black Lagoon-style fishmen raiders, possibly have them worship krakens or a Mother Hydra/Father Dagon parallel, and create fishmen-human hybrids similar to The Shadow Over Innsmouth.

Other assorted ideas could include giant octopuses crawling on land not unlike those featured in the classic Ogre Battle games, or other original creatures that incorporate aspects of different sea life. If a way could be found to make animations work for them you could also create new weapons like anchors, sawbone blades, harpoons, or even throwable nets (possibly as an ability) if they seemed appropriate for something.
Wherever you go with your next mods, I wish you the best! You've created some truly amazing stuff and I and many other fans are thankful for it.
Actually during me showing it off to the Chaos Dwarfs discord we joked about two things, giving the sharks a dragon and putting the sharks on a magic carpet perhaps though giving them some flying units? As it stands the army is fine though, just needs more balancing.
I totally forgot to mention, you should probably find some way to get them better custom voices. It's funny listening to Sharks speak like orks and Skaven Angler Fish but it is a bit immersion breaking.
