Cosmetics don't have hitboxes, all hitboxes are only attatched to the rigging of the character model, not it's additions.
Also, sorry if there's any residual harsh feelings, all I really wanted to do was drop a quick knowledge bomb in this thread.
Not sure where you were going with the sweater point, though; so I'm not really going to comment on it... wait a minute!
- Shave some thickness of the belt and its tassels in order to keep more in line with the size of the lapels
- Tighten the "knot" a little more (the fold-over is fine, it's just that, as it is, it would look really loose if the belt was thinned down in general)
- Add jigglebones to the belt tassels if they don't already have them
