npc's bump

I have died so many times mainly due to the fact that NPC's start sprinting when there is a bigger number of zeds around and they just bump me in. any way to fix that?

I know that in MP you can disable the player-bump but how do you do than on singleplayer considering that the mod doesnt work on MP
