Question about LWotC's Encounter Lists
I'm trying to play with various different enemy mods for some variety, but it seems like LWotC has it's own encounter list that overrides/interferes with other enemy mods. I know some work because they appear, but rarely...like once, if ever. A couple only appear on site reps like Bio Division Troops - never during regular missions.

I'm curious to know if there is a way to make some of these other enemy mods appear more frequently, or if it is possible to petition for these units to be incorporated into a future update of LWotC?


Here's a list of enemy mods I've been testing:

Black ICE Codex - WotC
Flame Viper - WotC
ADVENT Warlock - WotC
[WotC] The Drome Dome
[WoTC]ADVENT Assault Troopers
Muton Destroyer - WotC
[WOTC] Sectoid Abductor
[WOTC] EU Berserker

You will want to manually add the enemies to the LWOTC encounter lists located in the config folder XComEncounterLists.ini.

Mod Jam has config for some of these, so you can pull the encounterlists from there if you don't want the whole collection or want to make it yourself.

I see ... unfortunately, some of these enemy types actually add new Proving Ground projects and drop new gear, which don't work by simply adding them to the Encounter List. I assume so because (like with the Advent Warlock as an example) they appeared but I never got to do an autopsy or unlock their unique gear.

So with LWotC, this might be a case where I give Mod Jam a try, manually add enemies that don't drop anything special, or go back to WOTC if I want to play with enemy mods which offer special gear.
