  • Avali Plus
  • Avalonian Culture Shock

I have added Avali Plus and Avalonian Culture Shock. It was mentioned by Sayter that Avali Plus breaks FU, from what I think is the default crafting unlocks when starting a new player. I tested it and it works fine with the recent versions of the two mods. There was also some discussion on the mod pages about cherries breaking the game and CTD occuring when visiting the fruit seller in the Science Outpost. I just checked and those issues appeared fixed at the time of this writing.

You are welcome! Just a word of caution: there are a lot of quality of life changes in this collection as well as a lot of new features. It might be a bit overwhelming to those who have not played vanilla Starbound before.

I don't know if it is me ("fudging" with your collection), but the Bots of "Gardenbot2: Reboot Edition" don't work in Singleplayer if used in combination with the submod "Gardenbot2: Multiplayer Friendly". Ingame tooltip states the question: "Using MP Friendly in Singleplayer? Unsubscribe to use it" or something like this. I don't know whether you want to adress this to other potential users or not.
I have to say as well: Thanks for this big collection. I had to throw some mods out - because I wasn't able to make them work "in my head", e. g. I'm too stupid for so much things -, but thanks for your work. Much appreciated :47_thumb_up:

Thank you so much for this! I will remove the Gardenbot2 : MP Friendly mod as this collection is intended for singleplayer. Also no worries about throwing some out, I'm happy that this collection was useful for you.

On a side note, do you use Open Starbound? Some people recommend it as it allows for more smooth (constant 60 fps, significant stuttering removal) gameplay but I am not sure if this collection would work with it or not.

Oh, I don't know "Open Starbound" unfortunately. I restarted Starbound just 4 days ago with your collection, never used and knew Open Starbound. Sry :steamsad:
If you want to know: I threw some mods out that made (re)understanding the game and specifically FU "harder", because there was so much to do and so many items to sort.
And on a sidenote from myself: Is it "intended" that we have now two ways to produce drinkable alcohol? The one way is via FU, the other one via "Aging Alien Alcohols". I sincerely don't mind - the way to do it via FU seems to be a bit, how should I say, long - and "Aging Alien Alcohols" seems to be much faster. It just seems to be "doubled". Definetely not a problem - it is better in my opinion -, but doubled.

I might have written it wrong: not "doubled" in the way of the exact same stuff, but doubled in the way of producing alcohol. I hope you understand, I seem to be a bit crusty in writing English

I understand and agree with your statement on excluding mods that added difficulty to the learning curve. This mod collection is quite intimidating for new Starbound players and I generally recommend people to do at least one playthrough of vanilla before engaging this collection.

Also the Aging Alien Alcohols (AAA) are separate from FU (In a way AAA is sort of like a self contained DLC). I understand what you meant by doubled, no worries. Your English writing is great
