crash on avatar project cutscene
Every time I get the cutscene where the spokesman explains the avatar project it will crash. I have tried skipping it, watching it all the way through, verifying game cache, reinstalling the modpack, even reinstalling the game. I am very annoyed as I just started my campaign and was really looking forward to a fun game. Any advice?

No fixes , but its the same here, every game I tried with this mod list on that cutscene it, always crashes even after making new campaigns.

Found out the issue is linked to the covert Infiltration mod, its been an issue since 2021.

My best guess is to disable the Covert Infiltration mod and play the game that way, I have played almost a whole campaign with partially all the mods, only being unable as the final mission crashed, its clearly not with the game, but the mods, its something caused by the mod Covert Infiltration and the mods linked to it.

Done some tests, Covert Infiltration is the culprit, that's the mod that made the issue not the mods linked to it. So you CAN play a whole campaign with the mods that Covert Infiltration needs, but not Covert Infiltration itself.

I am quite sure the workaround to this is to start a campaign without any mods first. I've experienced the exact same crash many times, and starting a normal campaign has fixed it every time.

I'm not sure what's the exact cause of the issue, but I had the same experience when I was running Odd Tweaks season 7 without the full list of the mods in the collection. A couple of people have posted about this issue on Reddit and turning that off / acquiring the missing mods has stopped the CTD on the first Avatar Cutscene.
