[ENG] [Guide] Drugs
Drugs and their description
Here you will find a description of the drugs actions.

The time is indicated in hours if you are playing with real time: 1 real hour = 1 game hour.
In the case of other settings, a modifier is applied. For example, if a game day lasts 15 real minutes, the modifier is 5

Alkagin
Common painkiller. Helps with mild or moderate injuries. The effect is applied after 10 game minutes. It works for 4 hours if taken orally, 3 hours - parenterally

Bismuth Subsalicylate
Common drug that helps to cope with food poisoning. The effect is applied after 10 game minutes from the moment of use and is valid for 2 hours

Butamirate
Common antitussive remedy. It helps with severe cold symptoms, when the character begins to sneeze and cough.
Coughing in the game is the loudest sound when compared to sneezing. Even if you muffle it with a tissue.
The effect of the drug occurs after 40 minutes and lasts for 6 hours

The drug does not cure colds. The character will only sneeze, but not cough

HemoStop
Hemostatic powder. Helps with all types of bleeding.
One package contains 20 grams of powder. Depending on the type of wound, different amounts are consumed. For example, a scratch will require only 5 grams, and a deep wound - 10 grams

Morphine
An opioid analgesic. One dose is enough to numb even the most severe pain.
Depending on the dosage form, the effect occurs after 10 or 20 minutes and lasts from 3 to 4 hours

Naloxon
Blocks the action of opiates.
If the drug is administered intravenously, the effect will come instantly, but it will last only an hour. If you drive intramuscularly, the effect will come in 10 minutes, but it will last up to 3 hours.

Umifenovir
In no case is it a "vaccine" against the zombie virus. This is a drug that helps the body cope with the virus. So, for example, if you take it in time after "infection", it will be able to prolong characters life for several hours or days.
Do not think that you will live a week constantly taking this drug.
The effect of the drug occurs after 1 hour and lasts up to 16 hours

Nasivion
Nasal remedy for a runny nose. If taken during a cold, the character will not sneeze. Together with butamirate, it removes both sneezing and coughing.
The effect of the drug occurs after 10 minutes and lasts up to 4 hours

Erythropoietin
One of the kidney hormones that controls the formation of red blood cells. In sports, it is doping. Increases the character's stamina.
The effect of the drug occurs after 3 hours and lasts up to 2 hours

How are these used? I have morphine in an injection but there is no option to inject it to myself. I would also like to try the Erythropoietin for "testing" purposes.

You do it through the health screen, right click your arm then inject.

Typo?

15min x 5 ≠ 1 hr
mayb you meant 4?

Also Naloxon says it blocks opiates
Wouldnt that mean it blocks Morphine from helping with pain?

And finally, consider having dosage forms listed here too so that people don't have to jump from main page to this page every time they fail the medical exam of having to remember the more complicated way of saying "injected' or "oral/eaten"

EDIT: Just making it clear
Paragraphs in order:
•Confused about the times
•Question about modded drug
•And a suggestion -not a criticisement

So erythropoietin doesn't increase the rate at which characters regenerate blood? Cause given the fact that the mod adds blood levels, that would seem to be the logical main purpose, instead of just increasing stamina (especially since stamina is implied to be increased through... increased blood level)

My friend is able to fill the syringe without any problems. And when I try to do it 1 to 1 like him, the game doesn't show me the option to "add" a needle to the syringe. :magnum:

Does this now work with The Only Cure mod?
Crius 17 Aug, 2022 @ 3:24pm
My character only cough. I see there is a drug that prevent that for some hours but how about curing it? I can't find any info anywhere about how you can effectively heal from that.

I have the syringe, Alkagin and Morphine. But when i click "Fill Syringe" dont see any option
Antithesis 22 Sep, 2022 @ 2:56pm
I can't seem to figure out how to fill any syringes. I chose the Opioid Addiction trait and drinking morphine doesn't help it at all when I drink it instead of injecting it. But I can't figure out how to inject at all. I have syringes but it doesn't matter.

irl, that's exactly what naloxone does. it's primary usage is in treating acute opioid overdosage. reverses the action of opiates by blocking the receptors they bind to, so all the effects of morphine, including pain suppression and respiratory depression, get stopped rapidly and violently.

guessing in game the mod author meant for it to be used to save your life if you do some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like take too much morphine or mix your morphine with alcohol. remember, don't drink and drive and inject morphine... or something like that.
