DAKOTARAPTOR GUIDE
===============================================================================================================
DAKOTARAPTOR:

Wild: Despite the bad reputation that its other raptorian relatives get, dakotaraptor is an exception when it comes to behaviour, rather than being aggressive and hostile towards percieved adversaries like other raptors, dakotaraptor are much more skittish when seperated from their packs and more laid back and chill when in them.
They have been recorded allowing survivors and other smaller creatures to get relatively close by with no problems. Only becoming defensive when they feel the stranger is getting too close.

Dakotaraptor is extremely intelligent, even compared to the likes of mantis and gigantopithecus. While incapable of wielding weapons and ziplining, dakotaraptors intelligence comes in the form of their ability to think critically and adapt quickly to their habitat. Older and more experienced dakotaraptor may often teach younger individuals things they have learned.
Some examples of these raptors intelligent come in the form of their ability to befriend and trade with survivors. Pack alphas whom survivors have earned the trust of have been seen allowing said survivors to approach them and offer food, which the alpha may sometimes even give back items in return! Unlike practically any other creature on the arks, pack members do not immediately turn on their leader if their alpha befriends a survivor.
In fact, they trust their former alphas decisions enough that they willingly follow the survivor as the new pack leader!

Domesticated: Dakotaraptor appear to be mostly frail and slow compared to its smaller raptor cousins, and their intelligence requiring one to slowly build trust with one may cause many to feel underwhelmed by dakotaraptors direct power.

However even when domesticated dakotaraptor is more about its intelligence, teamwork, and adaptability rather than brute force. Apparently dakotaraptors can be taught to do many useful tasks rather quickly, such as prying leeches from themselves and allies, or slicing them out of nets and bolas. Or even gathering pearls from the ocean floor with their claws!

More interesting though, is how through rigorous training dakotaraptor can learn how to improve their fighting tactics for better offensive power, and how quickly they can increase their overall physical strength. Young dakotaraptor can even learn how to do these things by watching older individuals in action!

====================

Taming: - Dakotaraptor can only be passively tamed by befriending the pack leader, lone individuals are too on edge for this.
=====
- Individual must be pack leader.
- Leave your tames behind, having them could initiate an unfortunate confrontation.
- Wear ghuille and crouch.
- Stay a good distance away, the pack will still attack you if they wish to.
- But keep a certain distance from the alpha. If you are not targetted a "Building Trust" buff will slowly build. Being aggroed by any dakotaraptor will reset this buff.
- Once above 300 seconds of trust, players will receive a new buff, where you have "earned" the dakoraptors trust, and can now walk around them without being actively targetted, this buff lasts for 20 seconds and as long as your trust buff stays active and you stick around, dakoraptor will remember you.
- Building trust buff maxes out at 400 seconds, meaning you have a maximum of 2 minutes to leave the pack before they may have to rerecognize you.
- You can only tame the leader. Wild dakotaraptor may sit occasionally. You can approach the pack leader at this time to passively feed them. WHILE taming % will not go down if they take damage, if you were the one who hit them then taming may reset and trust will have to be rebuilt from scratch.
- Taming the leader tames the entire pack.

After 50% taming, dakotaraptor may randomly return items every time you feed it. These items are:
========================================================================
[5 Crystal]
[10 Rare Flowers]
[1 Dinosaur Bone]
[15 Chitin or Keratin]
[30 Hide]
[5 Hair]

Dakotaraptors can gain more experience through kills.
[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[================]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]
- Each individual must earn the kill themselves. The kill must be over 200 drag weight and grants xp equal to the base kill xp of the dakotaraptor.
- Each dakotaraptor's experience saves per kill they make. Dakotaraptor can also earn these when wild.
- Theres is a 20 second cooldown between each kill for it to count towards the experience.
- Killing players automatically grants 100 xp.
- If the killed creature is a boss the xp gained is double.
- Yes this means minions as well as long as the minions drag weight is 200 drag weight or higher.
- Killing a creature with the alpha buff (not nessacarily particle effects, but if the alpha glow is an actual buff instead of component or is from the base ark's alphaAOE base. An example would be like how vanilla alphas glow vanish when they die). Xp earned is multiplied by 1.5x
- The kills cannot be babies. They also need to be conscious (unless they are players).
- These should transfer across servers, I think, if they dont then ummm..... yeah that sucks because I've really made you have to earn these huh.
- Babies that are bred start at lvl 1 and have to individually gain experience.
