I've been running a server for some time and have had your mod on it for a few builds.
According to the server logs, it can be seen that it started in mid-December with some players suffering from a rollback issue.
The December 14 fix corresponds exactly to the problem we still have on the server.
Unfortunately, I understandably lose a few players as a result.
First of all, from what I can see from the patch intervals, that you are trying very hard and I/we really like your mod.
Many setting options and the core idea is really great.
Now back to the problem. I was irritated to see that the rollback bug was patched on December 14th. As gradually more players on the server are suffering from this bug at the moment.
What I have tried so far with the dedicated server:
Project Zomboid dedicated app game files verification
Delete all mods from the dedicated directory to force the server to download again
Players have unsubscribed from the mod,
Manually delete the mod folder and download it again from the server / or subscribe to it again.
The error persists and is causing my player a lot of frustration, which I can understand.
The server ran without major problems until mid-December.
We never had any rollback bugs like this before.
Small note:
A player has been testing it for days. It is still necessary to create a new character, but after a short time, at the latest when you drive a vehicle, the error is there again and the character can no longer be saved.
First of all, thank you very much for your time and I hope that you can help us in some way, because I am really happy about the small community that we have built up in the meantime.
Small excerpt of the log of a client:
[29-12-22 22:10:21.487] LOG : General , 1672348221487> 0> FATAL ERROR: The player xxxx cannot be saved.
[29-12-22 22:10:21.487] ERROR: General , 1672348221487> 0> ExceptionLogger.logException> Exception thrown java.nio.BufferOverflowException at HeapByteBuffer.put..
I am one of the affected players.
I see every day that the players are affected by this bug and all attempts to find the error have failed so far. don't even think about playing.
I had no issues UNTIL I added Authentic Z on a new playthrough. That is when this god awful error came back up. It happens when you drive close to zombies that have authentic z clothing.
When you are anywhere else with no zombies, no fatal corrupt errors until you see a zombie IF you have Authentic Z installed.
I'm about to start a new world without this mod enabled. I love this mod, but Authentic Z is too much fun not to use.
New save started. I deleted my old MP saves while 2 others on my server didn't. The issue still persisted on their side, but not on mine. And that's with this mod unsubbed.
It certainly this mod causing the issues. After doing another wipe and having players delete their saves too. All is good.
I'll test run it on a separate test server I use when testing out mods.
I'll run this with the same mod list I have on my main server.
I honestly don't know either. Ever since you fixed the mod, I had run 2 playthroughs on my main server with no issues whatsoever UNTIL now.
On my main server I had just started a new save without your mod installed. My character has no issues on saving because I had deleted my MP save data before joining the server. Other players did not do that, then had new faces join. The newbies had 0 issues alongside me. But the ones that had played on the previous save with your mod, did not delete their data. So the issue persists with them alone.

I had to strip mods. Checked my logs and those of my players. Noticed this only happened while they were driving or walking for exploration. So "Exploration Trait" was the main issue. After removing it. I haven't had any issues for now. I do not think this mod was the cause for the FATAL ERROR character data issue.
No problem!
I reported this issue to the mod authors of "Exploration Trait" mod.
It seems they pushed out an update for MP.
Edit: My apologies for wrongly assuming it was your mod at fault the entire time.
