ANY VERSION LATER THAN THIS, WILL MOST LIKELY CAUSE MAJOR ISSUES.

I found it. The folder you stated does exist for me, but because I have my games downloaded on a separate drive the workshop items appeared there.

That makes sense then, that's also a reason why I added the "For most users, this will be:"

Thanks! I didn't know why I couldn't increase the capacity of the backpack any more.

It worked for me, you are the best. You saved my obsession with picking up everything I see.

You're Welcome :)
I've installed this twice using this guide and ran the game from the directory on the second time to see if the game somehow verified when launched from Steam, but after reaching 50 kg encumbrance you still can't pick anything up, especially containers that weigh more than 50 kg. The old method of dumping the bag on the ground and picking up what's in it still works, until you hit 50.

Am I misunderstanding what this patch does, or is there an issue that you're aware of and working on?

Thanks for all of your hard work, and happy holidays!

Yes, there seems to be a a misunderstanding. What this bypasses is the new capacity limit for Containers(backpacks, bags etc.) that is introduced in B42. The capacity can't exceed 50 without this mod. However, given what I now know about the java source code, there is a fairly big possibility that I can bypass the pickup limit of 50 as well. And the 50 capacity limit for putting stuff on the ground.

Happy holidays :)

Is this needed for changing car's trunk options? None of the options work for me (reloading the save each time) so I have no idea if it's because some cars are modded (should apply if they use container type trunk right?) or due to this cap, but it seems it's only for bags

It's possible the trunk option is broken in B42. without "Capacity Limit Bypass", vehicle trunks should still be able to go up to 1000 in capacity. I can look into it. And if the option is broken, I will try to fix it.

For the time being I looked with devmode the item list with trunks and installed the one with 300 capacity, and seems to be working, but the sandbox options are borked

I noticed before in b41 that PZ had a hard limit of 50 carrying capacity for your character. I would like to ask 2 questions if you don't mind.

1. Is it safe to assume this fix also removes the limit for your character?

2. Is there a way you can (or have you considered) adding this workaround to the mod "customizable containers" so players don't have to do this?

1. No, it does not remove that limit. Only the capacity limit for backpacks, bags etc.

2. There no way for this mod to be automatically applied to the game files. The devs do not allow .class files to overwrite the main game files. That is why it needs to be manually done. Believe me, If I could I would.

Hi, I have a few questions. Do you think the devs will enable this again? if they introduce changes what would it affect to have the modified files made by you? will the new files be replaced or will yours remain by default?

I hope it is understood, I use translator to write to you. :praisesun:

Hey so I followed your instructions to the letter and it only worked partially. Modded bags were not affected, retaining their original values for carrying capacity.

No clue if they will remove the limitation or not, I hope they do. If they make changes to my modified files, I will simply have to reapply the fix to the new .class files.

This submod only bypasses a limit. It doesn't alter the actual capacity for any backpacks, bags etc. That's what the main mod is for. For backpacks that have already spawned in, you need to enable "Respawnable Containers", then right-click the backpack and hit "Respawn".
