IS THIS CAUSING INSTAKIL?
Does anyone else out there happen to have any info regarding this mod possibly causing insaded?

I have been suspicious of it and I believe I have confirmed -contrary to comments under most of the videos that instakill is intended game mechanic- that it absolutely is NOT.

Using debug mode on insane population world in vanilla; I died 67 times by spawning naked into a horde of superhuman sprinters while moodled up in a very bad way. The interesting parts: I never saw a damage attack roll from a zombie higher than the number 17; sometimes those rolls were on my hand, while my neck damage rolled a nine so the damage roll IMO seems quite random; and running even more tests -not surrounded- but letting sprinter run at me from behind the damage rolls were still similar but it was usually placed more critically as a bite or laceration on head or neck. I never instantly died.

Point being - if zombies can't roll damage higher than 17 on a rear attack then being attacked from the rear certainly only increases the chances that you will be bitten, or lacerated in a more critical area that bleeds fast.

Important to mention that in my naked and surrounded in the woods tests -- there were two occurences that my zed's damage rolls did not add up ANYWHERE close to my HP and i still died too fast. I looked into this and apparently there is a mechanic in game that will run the death script. This event takes all of your UI away and you see the death animation. I have confirmed this is caused by being surrounded - being surrounded is the only mechanic the devs meant to KO you and it did not happen in one hit. They got several licks in before the situation caused the death.

One more thing before conclusion - I ran another test in debug. If you get yourself bitten and then uncheck your isInfected box; eventually you topple over somewhere. This is caused by the fact that you got infected in the first place and the infection timer started. Unchecking the box

SO ANYTHING EXPERIENCED BEYOND THAT - is potentially the following:

-A setting gone awry in server settings that may confuse game into thinking you are surrounded.
-Do you have the infection timer set 0-12? If so - sometimes you roll a 0 on the bite and die right there.
-Could possibly be a glitch in the timer for infection due to a mod - initial bite was improperly removed due to the code being only half appropriate so upon being bit again - the old timer that had been ran as an event has started and run out already - thus starts upon second bite at 0 and results in instant death.
-there could be overpowered RNG results due to modded traits as well, it is possible but remains untested on my end.

I personally have had experiences with this and the only difference between me and my buddies is that I have hoarded like 61 zomboxyxyxline from mass murder and use it like candy - and happen to be the only one in the group that uses it - and also the only one in the group that has these very short and unfair demises. They occur not just from the rear but also frontal attacks, and seem to completely ignore protection.

Indie Stones advice to me was 'if you are unable to recreate the issue in our vanilla game then this is a glitch caused by using mods and we cannot help you'
Fair enough, and I have been unable to recreate thus far.

Let me know if anybody has the energy to run test on this cure mod in debug - i have proven its a bug but out of energy now. Perhaps spawn in zombox, take the zombox - allow a bite, and the fast forward game speed 8 hours and let another bite and see what happens - if nothing the speed the full cycle (all 24 hours zombox should be active, so it wears off) and allow another bite. If able to do this many times with no crazy insta ded - its possibly in the clear.

Right? sure hope so, its a fav cure mod :)
have a good one, see ya on the other side - peace out!!!

I'm seeing this also. It acts as if it clears the infected flag but doesn't reset the timer, and since subsequent infections don't reset it either (so you can't keep getting bit and live forever) you remain out of time until a reinfection checks it.

So in other words, this is a problem with the mod, and the fix would be to have Zomboxycycline also reset the infection timer whenever you take it? And by reset, we don't mean "0", because 0 is possibly what causes you to instantly die whenever you get bit next time? So the value would need to be null or something like that?

Has anyone tried to fix this issue with another supplemental mod?
