Incompatibility with SOS2
So what exactly is the incompatibility with SOS2? Is it a soft incompatibility: the mod's effects are disabled on space maps, or will I brick my save if I try to install SOS2 over this mod? Has anyone tried using both together?

soft incomp, the space ships have no insulation so your ship is just perma cold

Indeed, looks like increasing insulation of ship parts including ship roof to maximum possible will fix that.

ahhh so it is able to be somewhat mitigated through gameplay. thats good to hear, hopefully the modder addresses this in the future

Yes, it's somewhat inbetween. Your savegame shouldn't brick but all the temperature setup will be screwed and you'll be left with -100C rooms and other funny things. Unfortunately, proper adapting SOS2 space environment to Celsius' assumption of a normal atmosphere seems next to impossible. I think there is a patch in Celsius Patches that adds insulation to walls etc., but the vacuum outside is apparently still considered air.

A way to fix it, is to remove Celsius, load your save and save it. Then you can put Celsius back on and that will Reset your heat maping

If anybody wants to attempt to make a proper integration patch for this and SOS2, feel free to use my patch for the thermal properties, since getting it to work will likely be way harder than making a basic XML patch.

As for the a possible patch, the best idea that I can think of is to use the fact that SOS2 uses -100 C as the average annual temperature for any space map. Have "air" tiles that are both outside and on a map with an average annual of -100 C or lower act as if their insulation is arbitrarily higher. As for fixing initial temperature generation, I have no clue what needs to change for it to be fixed.
