One thing that would be nice to see is some weapon variety among enemy NPCs, but I suspect you had to perform a few minor miracles to make them as realistic as they are.
I have wrote this in the comments aswell, but i will do here also:
I played around with new gun sounds but had actually planned to revert back to the ch1 sound since I was afraid it would spoil some expectations. But it somehow didnt work appearently.
But since now there are a lot of ppl out there enjoying the new sound even more, I will try to find a way to let ppl choose which sound to use ingame. It would also make for some replayability having diffrent gunsounds to choose. I will work that into an update ahead.
The only place I noticed an enemy spawn in front of me was in the hall to the left of the entrance to the first room with a refrigerator, near the storage room. I approached it from the opposite direction (from the left of the hallway entrance) and one of the enemies towards the end of the hallway spawned out of thin air.
Towards the end of the line of obstacles during the helicopter battle, you can move to the side in a position where you’re completely shielded from the helicopter, but still take damage from it.
I don’t expect this can be related to the mod, but for some reason I had a good number of instances where I reached over my shoulder for a clip but didn’t get one. Haven’t usually had that problem.
This isn’t a bug, but throwing the metal sign stand through the metal detector doesn’t set it off :). Wine glasses sitting next to breakable bottles are unsmashable. Also unimportant and probably not related to the mod but just as a matter of curiosity, I saw a (living) enemy get his legs unnaturally twisted together once as he turned around.
Of course only as long as the kickass custom gun designed for this mod takes to be released. When it hits it would be blasphemy to use any other ^^
I do have a suggestion though. I'm not sure how hard this would be but since you've found a way to switch gun sounds in the shooting range but I was wondering if there might be a way actually increase the amount of shots (except headshots) it takes to kill an enemy? Nothing like a good headshot for that satisfactory John Wick feel but when enemies die from a single shot to the shoulder or ribcage it takes me a bit out of the experience and makes me question my own capabilities. Even like 1-2 body hits to 2-3 or 3-4 as an option would be effective. If there was an option to lower the amount of enemies but increase the shots it takes to kill them this would make it, for me, more immersive.
Overall, what you are doing is fantastic, and I hope you get lots of positive attention for this mod! No other mods I've tested come close to making me feel like such a badass.
Have you tried to disable any other mods so only this one is active?
like that at each game we could not know where the enemy will arrive and each game would be unique.
Anyway, very nice work.
Just add a piano wire, poison etc....
