True. It should be an option if people who create digital art want to make money off their work, but for something like digital art, the these nfts mfs need to realise that they are paying for a specific copy of said image rather than literally every single version of it online, and if they thought that that was what they were getting, then thats their fault for literally burning money
NFTs right now are 100% a scam. There is some potential in the concept of them, but i really doubt it will ever be as useful as intended if people just carry on making their randomly generated furry art of george floyd that they sell for $300 just for someone stupid enough to buy.
there is a counter NFT movement called EFTs (extremely fungible tokens) which are basically NFTs you are encouraged to screenshot and share and are completely free
