Guide / Walkthrough
Don’t forget about your map if you’re unsure of where you need to go next. The red arrows show you which way you need to go and if you’re playing the sneaky version, the map also shows you spots you can stand so that the second staff member won’t catch you. Try to stand close to the wall to minimise the chances of your hit-box betraying you.

The Lounge
The Playing Cards
The Puzzle
Next to the door into the lounge, there is a cupboard with 4 spots to place things. Around the room, there are 4 playing cards to be found.
The Parts
The Ace of hearts is in the grandfather clock.
The Queen of hearts is in the brown box next to the bookcase, underneath some cubes.
The Jack of hearts is under the left cushion on the sofa.
The King of hearts is in the right drawer of the table next to the exit door.
The Solution
The cards must be placed in their spots on the cupboard. Once they’re all placed, the sticky door will swing open and reveal a candle holder. The order to place them in is Ace -> King -> Queen -> Jack.

The Five-Letter Word
The Puzzle
Under the Picasso painting, there are places for five cube letters to form a word.
The Parts
To the left of the Picasso painting, there is a box on the floor that is full of cube letters. You must figure out which word is required to solve the puzzle.
The Solution
Above the fireplace, there is a painting of the Mayor’s wife, Mabel. Her name is spelled out on the plaque at the bottom of the painting. Use the cube letters to spell her name. Once completed, the painting will spin and reveal a candle holder.

The Candle Holders
The Puzzle
You now have two candle holders in your hands and you need to put them somewhere to continue.
The Solution
On the table next to the exit, there is a picture frame with a photo of the fireplace. Place the candle holders on the mantle like they are in the photo. Either one will be accepted by both spots.
Press the button behind the painting and take the key from the record player. You can now exit the room and move on to the Library.

The Library
The Boxes
The Puzzle
Turn left after entering the library and look at the tag on the right drawer of the desk. You will need to find the four boxes around the room and unlock them to open this drawer.
The Parts
The first box is on the desk with the lock. The first key is under the open book on the desk.
The second box is on the low table in the middle of the room. The second key is in the drawer next to the exit door. You will need the combination to get this key.
The combination for this lock is the time on the desk clock. The combination is 0-8-1-5.
The third box is under the table next to the bookshelves. The third key is in the drawer above it. You will need the combination to get this key.
The combination for this lock is found by looking at the coloured numbers on the two wall paintings and the two framed pictures. The tag tells you which order the numbers go in. The combination is 5-3-7-6.
The fourth box is on the left bookshelf on the third shelf from the bottom. To get the key you must put away the five key books that are in the room. There is a note on the low table with a hint to guide you.
Lost in Rome goes on the third shelf from the left, fourth from the bottom.
You Know My Name goes on the second shelf from the left, third from the bottom.
Battle Until Death goes on the fourth shelf from the left, second from the bottom.
The Truth About Religion goes on the second shelf from the left on the bottom.
How To Grow Supertrees goes on the fifth shelf from the left, third from the bottom.
When all the books are placed, the key will be revealed on the fourth shelf from the left, third from the bottom.
The Solution
Above the desk with the sticky drawers, there are four red indicators on the wall. As you unlock the boxes and push the buttons inside them, the indicators will turn green. Once the fourth button is pushed, all of the indicators will be green and the drawer will open.

The Window
The Puzzle
You now need a three-digit code to get into the right drawer of that desk, which holds the key to the exit. In the drawer you just opened, there’s a simple drawing of a window.
The Solution
The light switches in the mansion are functional. To find the clue, you must turn the lights off and look at the windows. Some of the window panes are bright yellow. The number of panes per window that are yellow corresponds to the digit on the combination lock. The combination is 3-4-2.

The Mayor’s Study
The Colourful Blocks
The Puzzle
To the left of the door when you walk in, there is a box with some colourful blocks in it. You need to find the remaining six blocks around the room to continue.
The Parts
Block one is above the door you came in through.
Block two is on the light on the ceiling.
Block three is in the cupboard beneath the block puzzle.
Block four is in the display case on the desk. You will need a key to open it. The key is under the pile of books in the right display.
Block five is behind the books on the left bookcase, the second shelf from the bottom.
Block six is in the drawer under the chessboard. To open the drawer, you must move 6 of the chess pieces in a particular order. Above the chessboard, there is an image of the starting position of the chessboard. Click on it to see what order to move the pieces. You can watch the animation as many times as you need. The correct order is white pawn, black pawn, white knight, black knight (the one furthest from the wall), white bishop, black knight (the one closest to the wall).
The Solution
Now that you have all six blocks, you can slot them into place on the wall. Once they’re all there, a locked drawer below them will slide open with the code for the locked desk drawer. The combination is 3-7-7-1.

The Mayor’s Bedroom
The Padlocks
The Puzzle
On the right wall of the bedroom when you walk in, there is a painting of Mabel. Push it in and you will have access to the safe room. The pearl necklace is on display with four locks. You must solve the four puzzles in the room to get the keys and your prize.
The Parts
Key #1 is in the locked drawer next to the bed. On the tag for the lock, there are three plants arranged by size. Go around the room and touch the plants until three of them turn for you. The numbers you need are on their pots. The first plant is on the nightstand. The second plant is on top of the bookshelf. The third plant is next to the crossword puzzle in the corner. The combination is 4-2-7.
Key #2 is in the box on the bookcase. On the table to the right of the bed, the mayor left a note with his top four favourite books of the month, numbered one to four. On the bookcases, there are four shelves with books that can be pulled out. Pull out the right books to open the box. On the left side, pull out Say What You Want on the third shelf down and The Truth About Religion on the fourth shelf down. On the right side, pull out Lonely Rider on the second shelf down and You Know My Name on the fifth shelf down.
Key #3 is in the right drawer of the desk in the corner. You must solve the crossword puzzle on the wall using the letters in the box to open the drawer. The box only contains the letters you need. No more and no less. The answer key is as follows:
1. Student, Stories
2. Ton
3. Up
4. Edge
5. No
6. Teacher
7. Top
8. Doe
9. On
10. Eg
11. Than
12. Etc
13. Tone
14. Oh
15. Examine
16. Me
17. IV
18. Never

Key #4 is in the hidden drawer under the table with the picture puzzle. Around the room, there are six blocks with pieces of a picture. The other three are given to you with the first three keys. Put them together and complete the picture to get the final key. 3 pieces are on the table with the puzzle board. 1 piece is on the windowsill. 1 piece is in the drawer of the not-locked nightstand. 1 piece is on a shelf of the bookcase.
The Solution
With all four keys, you can slot them into their respective locks and gain access to the pearl necklace. Now you must escape with it.
