[ChloeImpact - Impact Effects] lua/effects/chloeimpact_groundcrack.lua:342: attempt to index field 'Surface' (a nil value)
1. unknown - lua/effects/chloeimpact_groundcrack.lua:342
which is pretty cool but its a bug
The velocity impact slider makes 0 changes in the actually needed velocity, 0.01 and infinitely high all having the same effect as 1, with the only one that makes a change being 0, which disables impact damage entirely. This is a problem because the default sprint speed is enough to do 75-200 damage on impact simply from trying to go up a soda can tall stair. It also means any dash addon that has high acceleration but a low speed dash will also do like, over 500 damage consistently.
Wall impacts vanish you entirely inside the wall instead of showing you pinned in the crater. Breaks third person stuff entirely due to this.
Wall pass-throughs often just end up with you stuck inside the wall you were trying to go through. They also activate even with noclip on on occasion, disabling your noclip and throwing you through the wall as usual.
Debris amounts and scales break if set to extremes until the addon is completely reinstalled. This causes, but is not limited to:
- debris craters just no longer appearing
- debris chunks just no longer coming out of impacts
- debris being unreasonably large on unreasonably small regardless of slider position
- debris being permanently either only one or two blocks or tens to hundreds regardless of slider position
- debris existing even when entirely disabled
