Notices
- NOT really compatible with "Lethal and Less Lethal Armed Guards"
- compatible with "Body Armour Improvements".
- uniform packs should be fully functional with this mod.
- hiring snipers wearing stab vests is not recommended, as it severely slows down their movement speed. Nevertheless, it is an option.
- (due to a game breaking vanilla bug, the lethal snipers are not functioning correctly, but I am including the lethal/nonlethal segregation anyway, as the scope of the mod has become to allow the player to hire every possible guard combo.)

Common issues and how to fix them:
All guards, armed guards and dog handlers have stab vests or tazers/all armed guards have tazers/all snipers are non-lethal.
- this is caused by researching the obsolete researches before enabling this mod. Make sure you do NOT research Tazers, Tazer Rollout, Body Armour, nor Non-Lethal Snipers. When starting a new prison do NOT enable "Bureaucracy Researched".

Snipers incorrectly show as not having tazers/stab vests in the staff menu list.
- snipers were not intended to have tazers/stab vests by the devs, which is why they will appear not to have them in some GUIs. They DO however have them visibly equipped in the prison world map itself, where it matters.

Snipers always use the tazer while on foot before shooting the rifle, regardless of freefire settings.
- same reason as above, and this is hardcoded.

Guards, dog handlers and snipers lose their tazers when loading a save file.
- this is almost always a mod conflict. If you believe it isnt then provide me with the mod lists including the mod order and the .prison file (through Steam Workshop if possible). I need all of these for investigation.

Broken sprites issues on GUI but not ingame.
- some sprites are broken when they appear in pop-up icons or GUI menus. This is not a mod issue but an issue with the way the game handles "objects_d11_2.png" and affects every single mod that has an external custom sprite sheet. Due to modding limitations this issue is not fully fixable by modders... But this fixes most of them:

Cannot promote guards/can demote but not promote/other promotion issues when using this mod.
- make sure you claimed the FREE "Free for Life DLC" first. If this doesn't fix the issue then it is due to modding limitations, sorry...

Snipers have misaligned or unfitting stab vests
- modding limitations. Here are your options:
--> If you not hiring snipers with stab vests then you do not need to worry about this bug. It will never affect you.
--> If you are using DLC uniform packs then there is not much that can be done to fix it. Don't hire snipers with stab vests or ignore the issue. Sorry!
--> If you are using the default uniforms instead of a DLC uniforms pack then you are in luck. May I suggest some great mods that work well alongside MnM? Not only do these fix the snipers' vest alignment issues, but each (whichever you choose) brings many improvements!
- Additional Guard Sprites will add hundreds of guard sprites variations, making your guards very diverse!
- Body Armour Improvements if you are a more "lite" kind of person. BAI will make it so each guard type has a different type of vest, which will make them very simple to distinguish with just a glance.
- Desk's Simple Mod: changes staff sprites to his style; restores Specialist Officer guns and much more!

Every time I reload a save game, all the standard guards with tasers lose them.

I am unable to reproduce this issue. What is your mod list?

Update: Issue traced as a mod incompatibility with Mix n Match. Fixed through update to BAI (MnM compatibility added to BAI).

If you save and load, all your stuff except armed guards will lose their tasers. Can you fix this please?

Located the issue as a mod incompatibility: Additional Guards Sprites has its own script that overwrite mine. This can only be fixed by merging the mods, which I cannot do without permission.
Update: Compatibily added to AGS via update as a result of a direct collaboration between prospectus and me.

Weirdly enough, the armed guards (which also got additional guards sprites) don't have issues with the tasers.

Armed Guards are always tazer trained so they wont lose them.

During the recent Tower update the way tazer training is serialised on the save file abruptly changed and I as I didn't figure out a better way to it I resorted to a hacky workaround to have the guards/dog handlers/snipers have it.... I need to contact prospectus and see if he wishes to make his mod compatible with mine.

There is no functionality for assigning specific types of guards to specific areas or patrols, so isn't this mod basically only useful for gradually upgrading the guard popualtion?

The deployment/patrols thing arent exposed to modding in any reliable manner.... I would love to do this though.

The mod is especially good if you dont want everyone to have body armours (body armour decrease speed and is a permanent for everyone once unlocked), if for whatever reason you dont want all snipers to be non lethal or if you only want some armed guards to have tazers. Or if you want guards to have tazers but not armed guards....
As a bonus u can upgrade the dog handlers/snipers with tazers too.

The mod is utlimately about permitting variety rather than maxing everyone as soon as u unlock a research.

Edit: According to an alpha update Introversion video from a decade ago the upgraded guards will actually prefer to patrol more dangerous areas of the prison by themselves, but I do not know if this is still the case.
