From my experience... Religious Zealotry is the reason for a GREAT amount of the discrimination that exists in the world today. Discrimination that comes from the churches Homophobia, its Sexism, and misogynistic Morality that is made to please the Big 'ol Sky Daddy.
Churches will demonize two men who love one another but will actively protect predatory priests... Be Better bud.
Yeah it is, you have a choice to worship who you want to worship. If you're offended by comedy and opinions, then you can head back to your cave.
Another willing puppet of Satan right here
I don't myself ascribe to any religion, but I've seen tons of homophobia, sexism, and misogyny/misandry from athiests, anti-thiests, and members of reactive "faiths" like satanism (having read the satanic bible, Anton Le'Vay was a talented individual and a clear critic of the apparent hypocrisy of mainstream faith) or pastafarians.
Put another way, beware gazing into the abyss.
EDIT: Something else to note is that the negative disposition towards homosexuality or the pressures of gender roles may actually predate any recorded religions because of the perceived damage they caused to societies in times of human history where things were incredibly difficult and tribes of people struggled to survive the conflicts of nature and neighbors. Men would have naturally gravitated towards hunting and warrior roles because a village with 1 man and 20 women will go on, but a village with 20 men and 1 woman will die.
In a similar fashion, you needed to be churning out babies, because your tribe would die off or be overrun by another tribe that was more 'successful', often through violence. As a result, anyone who wasn't a member of a 'productive' union would have been likely viewed as a burden by the tribe, which would have led towards resentments. That's besides people being superstitious and seeing odd (statistically) behavior has something to be scorned (for reference, even until recent times, being left-handed or albino has been met with hostility in a number of cultures due to people distrusting anything they don't understand).
