Suggestions (Court Positions & Modifiers)
Place suggestions here.

From new court positions or to tell me my modifiers are absolute garbage, both fair.

How about a Royal Chronicler, this person would record the history of the dynasty. Adding a modifier to renown, as I always struggle to accumulate renown.

The modifiers would be:
"monthly_dynasty_prestige" (this one adds a number boost, ie: 0.2 would add literally 0.2 a month) and/or "monthly_dynasty_prestige_mult" (this adds a percentage, ie: 0.2 would be 20% of the current total amount)

Along with those, it could also give the current player a small bump in personal prestige as well.

I like this! Yes I agree, renown is definitely on my priority list because its a big area that takes immense time just to dent but I'll be sure to keep it balanced and nothing too big - I like the idea of a few court roles contributing lil bits to renown so we can finally have one other spot to get it.

also naming ideas for the role of the Head of the Royal Mounted Couriers, basically trying to just use English versions of these cool names lol but I just default to Master and I don't want that to be the case for everything.

Head of Couriers bonus idea:

- increased Faction Military Power Threshold for Vassals (+3 to +15)
- Increased plot attack and defense (2% to 10%)

The logic is that by having couriers delivering information you can keep your vassals in line more easily, as well as plot more efficiently

I love this! Surprised I didn't think of plot off the bat! Definitely will incorporate these.

"Co-Basileus, very high salary, I mean expensive, but could buff(or debuff) ruler like the wife does, improves relations with the dynasty who have an co-basileus but could divide realm on who is the best candidate to inherit the throne, your son or his.
If you appoint your own family or son as co-basileus you secure the inheritance and lessen the short reign penalty, but all vassals gets an opinion penalty." - AXIS

(just so I don't forget)

"Court Cannonist (lawyer): high salary (cuz lawyers are $$$) but good buffs — reduced tyranny, auth/claim/law costs, boosts to grandeur, prestige, renown, etc. maybe require Learning L3/L4.

Court Painter: med. salary, boosts to grandeur, prestige, diplomacy, attraction, maybe create paintings as artifacts?

Royal Beastkeeper: med. salary, small boosts across the board — grandeur, prestige, renown, martial (war beasts), diplo (exotic beasts), steward (beasts of burden), intrigue (venomous beasts), learning (taxonomical studies), prowess (animal training), etc. Maybe trigger one or more pet scenarios?

Court Valets: counterparts to Ladies in Waiting (must be men, for make rulers).

Natural Philosopher: high salary, must be Learning L4, significant boost to innovation progress." - CaliBlueBear

Personal Combat Tutor (Master of the Sword/Master of the Training Grounds) that increases the prowess of you and your direct family over time, can result in characters picking up the blademaster trait, and helps characters lose weight by having them work out.

Harem Guardian that adds massive negatives to other people trying to seduce or romance your spouses/unwed family members while also granting prestige. Requires ruler to be polygamous or have concubines.

Good ones, I like these. Not sure about the name for the 2nd one, but I like the concept.

These are great. Have you looked into triggering events? If so, that could be applied to what we were talking about with the Royal Judge position, too aid in realm control.

Suggestion: an event for court historian. See link:

Also, big question, but could there be a UI change? This is a very big list to scroll through atm. Something like an array of portraits around the court would be more convenient, and probably look better too.

I'd suggest adding a few events to each new position which can occur. Like for my alchemist: an explosion which will reduce one of the county improvements back one tier. Or he does some random discovery which brings in actually money. Or conflict with the clergy (you know, it is so sinful doing magic).

Court Alchemist! Doing silly experiments while trying to find a way to produce gold..."

That would be really cool as I'm seeing that being a Quality of Life issue - I'm still pretty entry-level so I would likely need another moder to join on for that.

However in the mean time I think something in my abilities could be to create an additional separate tab from the three "common" / "royal" / "special" ? Should we just put all of the expanded in it or would that kinda ruin the immersion? Any different tab ideas?
