Feature Request: Masks require some sort of maintenance
It would be nice if Masks could require some sort of maintenance when in use

I thought lowering the condition might be one way to do it, but that would also lower protection which doesn't seem good in all cases because it also screws with the general protection against attacks

The Idea would be that even if you have a gas mask, it still would require some maintenance.

Not sure if "blood level" on the clothes could be used, but that could be washed off which also makes this a bit "too easy" I think.

Would probably need some custom "drainable" parameter.

The "drain" could either be applied always, or when only protection against corpse sickness or always (but slower when there is no "corpse sickness" around your character).

The latter would probably be most "realistic".


E.g.

Gasmask - you need to make a new filter with charcoal / empty tin cans / ripped sheets
(filters would also drop in the world - this recipe could be locked behind some skill levels to make 100% protection by gas mask more of a late game feature)

Surgical Mask / bandana - requires cleaning (e.g. with water & disinfectant/cleaning liquid/ bleach) and then drying it.

Could have a random chance to lower condition each time you clean the mask - cloth based masks would have less of a chance though and surgical masks a high chance to loose some condition (thus making them disposable in a way)

Gas masks wouldn't loose condition because you simply replace the filter itself

Sorry for the late reply.
I do like it and I think it would add to the realism. Maybe this could be added as a "hardmode" of sorts.
Unfortunately, I think for now this is beyond the scope of my modding abilities. If anyone wants to contribute here, feel free to reach out.
