Dead Military 2 - Review by Endless
★★★★ 4/5: Impressively large and entertaining

First of all: This is probably the biggest campaign I have ever played and one of the biggest campaigns of the whole workshop, without a doubt. I don't know if it's a case of two campaigns united under one, or if it was really designed with this in mind, but one way or another it also reveals certain flaws: Left 4 Dead 2 is not designed to be played in such long campaigns. The difficulty becomes tedious and relatively tiring, depending on the challenges you face. However, depending on your patience, you may find some enjoyment in those marathon sessions.

Despite the large size of the maps, they are relatively linear and simple to advance. There are a variety of events and scripts that twist the ordinary a bit to give us something different, without needing to be overly complex. I appreciate the fact that despite the size, the maps are quite accessible. Speaking of maps, the visuals remain solid. The latest maps in particular look great.

The only problem is the ridiculous artificial difficulty. These maps have hordes upon hordes upon hordes, particularly the early maps which don't even make the effort to hide the subtlety of their challenge. Sometimes you're in one area and if you turn away, a bunch of zombies spawn right behind you.

After that, the map has no major problems other than a few misplaced details here and there, and some strange music that's a bit odd for the setting.

A solid campaign and quite entertaining despite how long it is. The finale in particular is very well done.

PS: Despite being called Dead Military, there isn't much military. Heh.
