I'm trying to keep roads and districts contoured to the dense patches of trees instead of destroying them and making everything a perfect rectangle grid like I normally would.
Population was at about 35k for these screenshots, but I'm still expanding.

amazing build @Samutz, cant wait till you expand near the waterfalls, Theres a lot of scenic views on the highlands, a bit challenging though due to the terrain

As an experiment I tried building on this island with no road or rail connections.

So I scoured the workshop for bridge that fits, is pretty, isn't deprecated, etc. and finally found the excellent Walt Whiman Bridge asset.
(I tried if I could make it work with all unlocks and unlimited money turned on, and once it did work, I had a very good motivation to quickly unlock highways in the progression of my "real" save, so i could build it "legit")
Here it is spanning the valley:

And this map isn't called "Moon Bay" for nothing! Mood lighting:

Eventually, I unlocked the dam structure, and there's only on spot to build one on this map :D
Here are the 2 biggest feats of engineering in the region (and probably millions of taxpayer money) side by side. Together, as they should be:

The dam structure is heavily inspired by Eggsy's on the Azure Gulf map <3
Can't wait to see what else you do with this map.
Thank you for sharing!
Atm I'm still fiddling with the main station, but as soon as I have something "complete" to show, I'll definitely share it here :)
I just got my save running again after the plaza and financial DLC, and now with the free update i'm back to waiting for the mod authors and devs to figure things out again...
In the meantime, I might as well share what little progress I've made here and there:
This is a little farming area across the river, with a custom diamond interchange to give it access to the highway. The slopes were a little challenging, but i think it worked out in the end.

Here is a little extension to the trumpet interchange that was already on the map. Needed some highway access again, and i tried to leave as much of the original as possible. Lanes are working out beautifully, only a little bit of weave on the chunky strip going left to right.

Last but not least, the main station and it's "district" are taking shape! Again, super challenging to build the whole thing on a slope, but that's the way i like it :D

I can't wait to jump back into things. I have so many projects and little ideas lined up, it feels like my PC's specs might turn out to be the only limiting factor.
But for now, alas, i have to be patient.
