The manufacturing cost of DRam is 50$ when you produce it yourself, add to this the 11$ physical store cut, and your raw price per DRam unit is 61$ (This does not includes the courrier/support/development/marketing prices).
All the companies are selling the Ram somewhere between 55$ and 63$, which when you consider the additionnal prices I listed, brings the retail price under the per unit expenses for the production/marketing/distribution, making it impossible to make a profit making this type of hardware. I tried to sell it slightly higher (75$) to try to make at least a small per unit profit, but since the price is higher than all the other companies, I haven't sold a single Unit...
I can also see in my game that not a single DRam or SRam product ever made a profit for any company, and I am now in 1995, so this does looks like a bug.
Sadly this had me required to remove a lot of namegenerators and I don't really have much time on my hand atm due to moving apartment in a couple of days and such, but will get that fixed aswell when I'm settled in!
Any advice?
So atm there's probably companies not making a lot of the things, due to experiencing some issues I've had. I have been very busy from moving but will very soon get all the bugs and issues fixed and possibly also add some more updates.
But no Motherboards? That seems weird I'll have a look at that soon since there definitely should be Motherboards.
Can we at least get this into a sensible multiples? I realize it isn't supposed to be "place these and go" but we're flip flopping with limited factory tools and prime numbers here
