Freezing Point (Campaign + Survival) is a Resident Evil-inspired Custom Map, and it is simply excellently made and designed overall.

You really feel like you’re inside of a Resident Evil game within Left 4 Dead 2. The custom art, assets, weapon models, and original voice acting go a long way to make this map feel authentic to its inspirations.

This map focuses on exploration, collecting items, completing objectives, and activating power in order to progress. However, the Map Maker’s expert guidance ensures that you’re never left unsure what to do next (a problem on similarly-designed Custom Maps such as ‘Redemption 2 (Complete)’ and ‘Silent Hill 1’, for example).

Expect a lot of close-quarters combat on this map, where the Shotguns (and ironically the Sniper Rifles) excel.

In terms of overall difficulty, this map is pretty middling, being directly comparable to a vanilla campaign. There aren’t a lot of Witches, Tanks, or Gauntlet events present, due to the relatively small map sizes.

There is one Moderate Gauntlet before the penultimate Safe Room, and the Finale itself is a Moderate-Hard Gauntlet-Tank-Run To The Escape Truck.

The Tank is the main issue on this Gauntlet Finale. If you're able to run around the Tank, and throw a bomb or two, you should be able to reach the escape truck pretty easily.

On my first playthrough, we fortunately were able to avoid the Tank on the catwalks in the warehouse without even seeing it, so either we were extremely fast, got lucky, or both (this of course made the Finale a lot easier than it could have been).

On my second playthrough, we had two pubs, and they were lagging behind and going down. This allowed the Tank to spawn and actually reach us in the warehouse, resulting in us fighting it outside in the area before the warehouse. We managed to kill it, but then another Tank spawned ahead of us not long after. This one was in the darkness and sniped me with a rock before I could even see where it came from, and then everyone else got wiped from it and the horde + Specials not long after.

So the relative difficulty of this Finale can definitely vary.

The map lore, easter eggs, and humour are all a surprise standout feature of this map; I actually took some time to read a lot of the wall writing, which I typically skip on most maps (since I primarily review maps from an Expert Gameplay perspective).

Yeah, That true I play on SOLO (Single player) and the finale is hardest to beat I try, try and try to get there to the van and then I failed every time. And then I got stressed and turn on the god mode and run to the forward to see what to the end how far it is. ( I only have two achievement for one the beginning of open the gate for 30 seconds and find a Easter eggs jokes about two drunk demoman and spy 15.ai talking about.
