With the latest update to Storm Over Europe, which included the 1939 Campaign, changes to prestige were made.

In the base game it costs 100/150 prestige for Elite Reinforcements at deployment/mission. In Storm Over Europe, the cost is 150/200 for Elite Reinforcements at deployment/mission.

In Axis Operations, the Nationalists share a prestige pool with the player. In Storm Over Europe, the player does not share a prestige pool. So when the AI captures a hex, the player doesn't get any prestige. It is recommended that the player attempt to capture hexes as this allows the player to get the prestige and the AI will not "garrison" the hex. Thus if AI units are more involved in the action, the player's units are less likely to get damaged and need reinforcements.

Hero dismissal, the base game provides 1,000 prestige for dismissing a hero. In Storm Over Europe this has been reduced to 400 prestige.

As always, attempt to surround enemy units and force a surrender, as it grants prestige and captured equipment.

There are bonus prestige caches and easter eggs hidden throughout the missions, especially in 1939.
