I'm sorry to hear it didn't work for you. I imagine you checked the reverse side of the blue wall to ensure the green and white lights were lit according to blue solution diagram hidden under the moving laser.
I'll take a look and see if I can replicate the problem.

Did you pull down both of the power levers?
Can I ask which tile was broken?
This an issue many have reported but I have been unable to replicate myself.
