How to switch which side each player is on?

I am using a mouse and keyboard + xbox controller, the controller always seems to control player 1 on the left side, and the mouse and keyboard controls the right, how can I switch this? I want to be on the left side but use my kb+m

I am having this same issue and can't seem to fix it yet. What I noticed however is that when I make any input with the buttons on the controller, Player 2 will lose control over their character and start controlling MY CHARACTER (Player 1) instead.
