Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot your game if the mod is not working:



Are you launching the game off the task bar or clicking the .exe? Don't do that. You need to launch through the launcher. The play button in steam works fine, as do desktop shortcuts.

If you don't see the launcher before the game, it won't work.



Did you install mods before the workshop was ofifically released? Did you delete them? Make sure you deleted them.

If you used a user.script.txt file to install those mods, you'll need to delete that too.


Did you set a launch option for dx11? Remove the launch option or mods won't work.


Try going to %appdata%\The Creative Assembly\Launcher and deleting the moddata.dat file that can be found there. If your launcher is causing problems, that will hopefully fix it.


The easiest way to fix this is to unsubscribe from the mod, launch the launcher and open the mod manager, then close the launcher and resubscribe.

On some rare occasions, steam will not properly remove the mod after you unsubscribe
If you think this is happening, you can delete the mod from your disk manually after unsubscribing

Once you have deleted it manually, subscribe again to redownload it.


Sometimes steam loses files. Try verifying. This is last because it is rarely this, but its worth checking if you're stumped.


Try moving the mod file manually from the content folder into your warhammer 3/data folder, renaming it, then enabling it in the launcher from there.
