I wanna offset not being forced to join a war against someone I literally couldn't help fight due to having no armies to assist with

You have a X Y problem. Just join the war and use the peace command afterwards.

Also:
diplob - gives diplomatic opinion malus or bonus with the faction that owns the selected settlement or character, can be used without arguments to give max bonus
diplob value - value is an integer between [-6,6] to give between [-50, 30] diplomatic opinion
diplo2 and diplob2 value - can be used between 2 faction that aren't player ones
