VFE - Medieval uses Tribal backstories by default for its pawns. My mod uses a patch operation to replace the part of the code that tells it to use the "tribal" spawn category with "medieval." The error you're getting is that patch not working for some reason. The most likely culprit is another mod that does the same thing, like the mod I linked above.
If that's the case, it's one of the mods replacing the "tribal" before the other mod can get to it, and then the second mod is confused because there's no "tribal" to replace. Things will work fine as long as that "tribal" gets replaced with "medieval" one way or the other and the error can be ignored.
