railgun does not work

I installed the mod yesterday and I see the weapon but I don't see an option to use it, is it just decorative?

The railgun does not have any sort of firing functionality, nor will it (Until someone from TIS adds mounted weapons to vehicles, or someone from the community makes a framework with such functionalities.)
