Simple Clock

Offset Clock Position
Much thanks to salec, the author of this mod.

This is the first and best mod for Civilization: Beyond Earth.

Here's one way to make it better.

--------------------------------------------

I often found that later in games my resources would accumulate in such a way as to obscure the Simple Clock from view.

--------------------------------------------

1. Navigate to C:/Users/(your username)/My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth/MODS/

2. Locate the folder Simple Clock (v X).

3. Open Example_SimpleClockAddin.xml with Notepad++ or another viewer.

4. Edit line 3 to read Offset="0,32"

---------------------------------------------

This will move the clock down from it's original position slightly underneath the bar.

I hope this guide is helpful to potential new modders, and shows them just how simple modding can be. :)

I've tried this on a saved game, but the clock still never shows up.

Are you saying you have never been able to see the clock in your game? That is not an error related to this edit. That is a mod installation error most likely.

You say you make it so it moves down, but what would it take to move it to the left a bit, where the resources aren't located but still off the screen?

Line 3 by default will read Offset="0,0"

Change the 0,0 to any X,Y coordinates to move the clock to another location.

EDIT: But to answer your question, it would probably be something like "100,0" to move it to the left and keep it at the top still.

You would probably want a negative X value to move the clock to the left i.e. Offset="-22,10"
