Grebe (الغريب) is an oil rich republic, formerly a province of the kestrel state. Historically formed by trading hubs of the two main tribes of the region, the Arabic Gharbawi and the Persian javadi tribes. Grebe was formally annexed by the kestrels during the kestrel-grebe war, successfully ousting King mahmoud Gharbawi IV and replacing the former monarchy with a mandated government which lead to the successful annexation of said state in 1962. Many citizens of grebe were unhappy about the annexation of their homeland and secretly have formed insurgency groups such as the GLF (Grebe liberation Force) a pro-monarchist insurgency seeking freedom and restoration of the monarchy and the Bushra party which is a pro-republican party which seeks to violently kick out all the kestrels and establish a vanguard state. Both insurgent groups have been in dispute but have agreed that they will withhold a temporary alliance until grebe is free once again. In 1979 both insurgencies have decided to bomb the kestrel capital and illegally broadcast pro-grebe slogans calling for the death of the kestrel leader. This however lead to a massive military campaign by the kestrels to undermine the grebian insurgency and establish full military control over the region. Both the GLF and the Bushra party have been severely weakened during the campaign, especially the GLF due to them being the most powerful group. The Leaders of the GLF were executed in public by the kestrel forces and a warning was issued by the kestrel ministry of information saying “Any attacks on kestrels will lead to total devastation!”. The Bushra party however have exiled themselves and sought refuge with the ravens. The party struck a deal with the ravens promising that if the ravens helped them take back grebe they would promise them an endless supply of oil and trade. Fast forward to 2017 in which the Eagle-Raven war took place,the kestrels have been dragged onto this war and has been dealing significant blows against both eagles and ravens. The ravens then have unleashed the Bushra party forces into the grebe province arming them with light tactical vehicles and armor, The party has successfully kicked out the kestrels from grebe and has valiantly formed the republic of the grebe (Arabic: جمهوريه الغريب Farsi: جمهوری غريبى ).
The leader of the Bushra party Fawzan lajevardi has been chosen to be the president of the country and has been getting support from the people of grebe. Although the kestrels were desperate on taking back their former province the branches of the grebe revolutionary forces have been successfully defending and pushing back the kestrels out of their territory.
