I'd like to use the sling and stock models as well as VFE.
Locate your '\steamapps' directory, if you don't know where this is then:
Right-click Project Zomboid in Steam and go to 'Properties' > 'Local Files' > 'Browse'. In the window this brings up go back two folders and you should be in your '\steamapps' folder.

While in your '\steamapps' directory: locate and open the 'workshop' folder. Once inside, open 'content' and then find the folder named '108600' here you'll find all of the Project Zomboid mods you have subscribed to.

Find the folder named '2806553248' - that is the folder for this mod! When you're in this folder you can find the 'sling.txt' and 'fiberglassstock.txt' files in 'mods\AFTAA\media\scripts' open either of these text files and you'll find further instructions inside!
