EDIT: I did some testing of my own and I think that I've found the issue. It seems that the tradition swaps for machine empires (and other swaps in general) do not carry over the Ascension Perk script like they should. Pushing an update to fix it.
EDIT2: Updated with fix. Everything should work now.
Will this apply to saves as I am having the same issue on mine and the perks are still locked.
Good question. It should work right away, but you won't be refunded any Ascension Perks that you missed. For the latter it's required to start a new game, unfortunately.
Gestalt Consciousness don't have access to the Commerce tradition. Devouring Swarms specifically can't access the Statecraft tradition. This logic is all inherited from the base game. I've made no changes to it (but probably should as there are some weird quirks).

Should be 2 for a doubling? or do i understand the modifier wrong?
No, the modifiers are correct. They're meant to be 100% increases after all.
This will be addressed in the next update.

I am playing rogue servitor, i have 3/3 in the federation tree but when attempting to form a federation with another machine empire it tells me i still need "universal compatibility" tradition.
I finished production tree for the hegemony first, still having this issue, i chalked it up to actually being able to form a federation first before having a special form of it. but that's not the case, it's simply bugged.
i run quite a few mods but nothing that affects diplomacy from my knowledge. i have Aesthetic combat overhaul + the comp patch. if that matters.
as it stands i have to resort to cheating to get past this now. hopefully it's even possible
Edit 1 : i activated universal compatibility through console, nothing changed (and with the adoption of the tree). attempting to console "the federation" gives me invalid tradition error.
edit 2 : went through the conflict solver, it only listed those done by the compatibility patch, which is obvious... nothing on federation_c. it did show conflicts in tr_diplomacy_form_federation but im not going to pretend i understand it.
edit 3 : ai is also not able to make federations. - it may be just coincidence but this began happening after the compatibility patch for ACG was updated to fix the scripts for ascension perks.
edit 4 : activate_all_traditions also did nothing. i really get the feeling it's similar to the ascenion perk issue i had before. i made a comment on the forerunners+acg patch page.
edit 5 : turns out what i thought fed_c is just the normal form fed tradition
I managed to find a bug, where "ghosts" of traditions appear and eat up tradition slots. I currently have 3 traditions, Expansion (Finished), discovery (Two sets complete), supremacy (Just adopted). At some point after finishing the Expansion tree, two empty tradition frames appeared and ate up two tradition slots. These being supremacy and discovery. The frames are empty and cannot be interacted in any way of form. I also cannot invest in any of the other tradition trees.
I run Zenith of the Fallen Empire and Planetary Diversity alongside your mod.
Once again, thank you for this mod and hopefully this bug ain't too hard to replicate and fix.
Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. This is an interesting one. I was unable to reproduce the bug on my end but I've put out a fix for what I'm guessing might be the issue.
