a. Have you entered the room with the stained-glass window at the end of the hallway guarded by the headmistress of the orphanage? (In order to proceed, all players must enter this room, if you are playing co-op).
b. Once all players have entered the room with the stained-glass window, the room transforms into a strange, mysterious room, and the stained-glass window disappears. Instead, the four components of the stained-glass window can now be seen on the four pillars that appeared in the corners of the room.
c. The pillars are turnable. Can you find a way to find out how the pillars are supposed to be turned (which component of the stained-glass window should be facing the centre of the room)?
d. Did you find a picture frame on the floor?
e. Did you notice the golden plates with numbers sitting on the skirting boards?
f. Can you somehow combine the numbers on the golden plates with the picture of the stained-glass window you’ve found in the room?
g. Solution:
The order of the 4 components of the stained-glass window depicted on the picture you’ve found in the room is from LEFT TO RIGHT. This represents the order from 1 to 4.
The pillar with number 1 sitting on the skirting board must be turned so that the component found to the left on the picture is pointing to the centre of the room. The pillar with number 2 must be turned so that component 2 from the left is pointing to the centre of the room, and so on.
a. If you turned the 4 pillars in the mysterious room correctly, one of the walls of the room mysteriously opens to unveil a new wall with a door and a padlock. How can you find the correct code for the padlock?
b. On the door, a picture of a woman looking up is hanging. Also, the chandelier changed its position when the door was revealed. Did this draw your attention to the ceiling?
c. Solution:
Look up and take a closer look at the ceiling. Here you’ll find the correct code for the padlock:
9 5 2 3 6
The code in the ceiling is split up in four components of shapes that, put together correctly, form the number 95236 (this was obtained by turning the pillars in the first puzzle).
a. Did you find the 6 wall lamps to be hung in the hallway?
b. In the small room you’ve now entered (watched by the headmistress of the orphanage), you’ll find a chest with 4 wall lamps.
c. Where are the other 2 wall lamps?
d. Did you try to remove the photograph depicting the headmistress of the orphanage and her husband from the wall?
e. Can you hang the photograph somewhere else?
f. Hanging the photograph on the wall in the room with the stained-glass window, opens the door to the office.
g. In the office, you’ll find another chest with the 2 still missing wall lamps.
h. How are the wall lamps supposed to be hung in the hallway? Can you find a way to find out how?
i. Supposedly, the wall lamps need to be polished.
j. Did you find a polishing cloth?
k. Try to polish each of the 6 wall lamps.
l. You’ll see letters under the dirt.
m. How are you supposed to combine the letters to find the correct order for hanging the wall lamps in the hallway?
n. When you hung the photograph of the headmistress of the orphanage and her husband on the wall, the photograph mysteriously changed. Have a closer look at the photograph.
o. When hung on the wall, a third person (an orphan) can be seen on the photograph as well as a wall lamp.
p. Can you find any information about this orphan in the office?
q. Solution:
By looking in the book in the office, you’ll find out that the name of the orphan on the photograph is “Nicholas”.
From the letters found under the dirt on the wall lamp you can create this name:
NI – C – H – O – L – AS
Hang the wall lamps in this order in the hallway.
a. When you have hung the wall lamps correctly in the hallway, you hear an electricity sound, and the wall lamps start blinking.
b. Can you recognise some sort of pattern for the blinking of the wall lamps?
c. Can you use this somewhere?
d. Solution:
The 2 wall lamps to the left blink in a pattern of 2 blinks.
The 2 wall lamps in the centre blink in a pattern of 3 blinks.
And the 2 wall lamps to the right blink in a pattern of 4 blinks.
Turn the turnables on the pillars accordingly:
2 – 3 – 4
The door to the dormitory opens. Wait until the child’s laughter stops, and the bunk beds have appeared, and you can now enter the dormitory completely.
a. In the dormitory, you find 15 bunk beds. You also find a wall with placeholders for 15 photographs. What are you supposed to do?
b. In the dormitory, you also find a cabinet with 15 folded bed linens (3 of each colour – Blue, Light Green, Dark Green, Grey, Yellow). You also find a trunk with 12 photographs.
c. How can you find out what to do with all this?
d. You must find out in which bunk bed each of the 15 orphans are sleeping and hang their photograph on the correct placeholder on the wall according to the number of the corresponding bunk bed.
e. You must also find out which of the 5 colours of bed linen each of the 15 orphans prefer and then place the folded bed linen of the correct colour on each of their bunk beds. The colour of the bunk bed changes according to the colour of the bed linen when you place it correctly on the bunk bed.
f. You have found some clues:
In the office you found this:
- 3 photographs (2 of which have numbers at the backside)
- A book (“Orphan Register 1875”) with information about 3 orphans (on the table)
- A handwritten note with information about 2 orphans (on the table)
- A blackboard with some sort of overview with abbreviations
- A handwritten note for encrypting the abbreviations used on the overview on the blackboard; B = Blue; DG = Dark Green; G = Grey; LG = Light Green; Y = Yellow)
g. You have found some more clues:
By using the ghost camera that you brought into the orphanage by placing it on the “photo opportunity spots” (the dark shadows you’ll find here and there) and pressing the shutter release button, you have taken 6 pictures that offer you further information:
- 5 pictures of the 5 hallways (Dark Green Hallway; Grey Hallway; Light Green Hallway; Blue Hallway; Yellow Hallway)
- 1 picture taken in front of the bunk beds in the dormitory
- The information that these 6 pictures give you is this:
a) Blue Hallway Picture: You see a number “5”, referring to the photo/bed number of this orphan
b) Light Green Hallway Picture: You see a number “13” ”, referring to the photo/bed number of this orphan
c) Grey Hallway Picture: You see a number “14”, referring to the photo/bed number of this orphan
d) Dark Green Hallway Picture: You see a name “Archibald”, referring to the name of this orphan
e) Bunk Bed Picture: You see some of the bunk beds with the correct bed linen colour.
h. Did you see the name “Frederick” written on bunk bed number 15?
i. Solution:
If you get stuck, you can open the wooden cabinet in the Light Green Hallway with the warning written on it to not open it if it’s not an emergency. This is an emergency situation;), so go ahead an open the cabinet.
Inside the cabinet you find 2 keys that can be turned in order to get the solutions:
1) A key for the solution for the “photograph puzzle”
2) A key for the solution for the “bed linen puzzle”
The solutions will appear directly on the opposite wall (inside the Light Green Hallway).
Once the photographs are hanging correctly, and the correct bed linen has been placed on the bunk beds, you will get “trapped” temporarily, and you have to stand still until the “horror scene” has ended and you receive 3 plates with a number on them from 3 of the orphans.
Take the 3 plates and enter into the Dining Hall (the door just opened – did you hear that?).
a. Did you notice that there are plates with numbers hanging on the walls above the two staircases to the basement? And did you also notice that the numbers you just received from the 3 orphans are missing on the walls, but you cannot hang them because you don’t know how to reach to the walls.
b. Did you find anything of interest when searching the room? Something that you could use as a “bridge” to the walls so you can hang the plates correctly?
c. Solution:
Find the 3 planks with crosses in the room and place them correctly (according to the crosses on the floor and on the planks) and use them as a “bridge” so you can hang the 3 plates you received from the orphans on the correct spots.
Once you have placed the plates correctly, the numbers above the staircases mysteriously change:
Left side = 3 1 4 2
Right side = 7 5 8 6
Also, the tables are now set, and a mysterious cauldron has appeared at the end of each table.
a. After having placed the 3 plates (7 – 9 – 3) correctly on the wall above the two staircases to the basement, 2 cauldrons and a lot of plates on the 2 tables have now appeared. In each of these cauldrons there is a cooking spoon that you can use for stirring. The possible directions for stirring are UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT. But how are you supposed to be stirring in order to cook porridge and get ready to serve it?
b. Have you seen something that reminds you of the shape of the cauldrons and the 4 possible directions for stirring with the cooking spoons? Have a look at the floor.
c. In front of the big staircase, you’ll find a golden circle with 4 golden crosses in it. Can you use this for something?
d. The numbers on the wall above the staircases to the basement (“3 – 1 – 4 – 2” and “7 – 5 – 8 – 6”) each lead to a golden cross on the floor. Can you somehow combine the numbers on the walls and the respective crosses on the floor with the golden crosses in the golden circle?
e. Solution:
The crosses in the golden circle each represent a direction:
--STAIRCASE--
--------UP--------
LEFT ---RIGHT
-----DOWN------
So, if you take a look at the cross on the floor for each of the numbers on the wall (left side: 3 - 1 - 4 – 2; right side: 7 – 5 – 8 – 6) and then find the corresponding crosses in the golden circle, you get the right direction for the 4 stirs in the cauldron. You have to stir in the order from 1 to 4 (for the left side/cauldron; from 5 to 8 for the right side/cauldron).
For the left number/cauldron, you should get this combination:
RIGHT - LEFT - UP - DOWN
So go to the left cauldron and stir to the RIGHT, to the LEFT, then UP and then DOWN.
After having moved the cooking spoon in these four directions in this order, some plates with food will now appear on the table to the left.
For the right number/cauldron, you should get this combination:
UP – RIGHT – DOWN – LEFT
So go to the right cauldron and stir UP, to the RIGHT, then DOWN and then to the LEFT.
After having moved the cooking spoon in these four directions in this order, some plates with food will appear now on the table to the right.
a. Dinner was served on the 2 tables, but how should you distribute it?
b. Did you find anything of interest that could guide you?
c. Did you find the 2 sheets of paper with empty circles and circles with crosses in the trunk? In case you didn’t – how do you open the trunk?
d. For the trunk to open, you must look around in the room and find the picture of the lady looking up.
e. The lady is looking at 3 miniature spheres. Can you press these spheres?
f. Pressing the 3 miniature spheres makes them “fly” to the picture frames in the cabinet unveiling some important colours. Also, the trunk opens unveiling the 2 sheets of paper with empty circles and circles with crosses.
g. Take a look at the 2 sheets of paper. Don’t they look much like the 2 set tables?
h. You have too many plates with porridge compared to the number of circles with crosses on the 2 sheets of paper. Where should the rest of the plates go? And also, which sheet of paper represents which table?
i. Did you find a blacklight flashlight somewhere?
j. Can you use the blacklight flashlight that you found in the drawer to obtain further information?
k. Use the blacklight flashlight on the 2 sheets of paper, and you’ll see some additional crosses in some of the empty circles. And you will also find the letter “L” and “R” indicating the specific table (L = Left; R = Right).
l. Solution:
Place the plates with food on the correct spots according to the 2 sheets of paper you’ve found (by using the blacklight flashlight to unveil the secret information).
When you’ve placed all the plates correctly, an entrance to a secret cathedral appears.
a. When entering the Secret Cathedral, you notice the candlelight by the benches that are burning.
b. By moving the bibles a bit, you find some interesting drawings of circles with markings on the wooden bench. Can you use these drawings for something?
c. The candlelights can turn. Are they supposed to be turned in a specific manner?
d. The candlelights’ bases have markings that remind you of the markings on the drawn circles.
e. Should the candlelights be turned according to the drawings? But which of the drawings is the correct one to be used?
f. Solution:
At the base of the altar behind the fence, you see an inscription “AD VITAM AETERNAM”. On one of the benches, you find the same inscription. Use the drawing found on this bench and turn the candlelights according to this:
BENCH 1: RIGHT (1 press) BENCH 2: DOWN (2 presses)
BENCH 3: LEFT (3 presses) BENCH 4: RIGHT (1 press)
BENCH 5: DOWN (2 presses) BENCH 6: RIGHT (1 press)
BENCH 7: RIGHT (1 press) BENCH 8: LEFT (3 presses)
When you have turned the candlelights to their correct position, the cathedral transforms and unveils a secret Angel Portal after the fence moves.
a. When you have turned the candlelights to their correct position, the cathedral transforms and unveils a secret Angel Portal after the fence moves. What should you do?
b. You find a golden key above one of the pillars. Where should you use it?
c. Use the golden key in the keyhole on the same pillar. Once you do so, an angel mysteriously appears above the pillar, and a new golden key appears above one of the other pillars.
d. Use the new golden key, and the next one, until the cabinet on the pillar with the inscription “Scala Ad Caelum” opens.
e. The golden key in the cabinet – where can you use it? Is there something that gives you an idea of where? Do you see something you have seen before?
f. Inside the cabinet, you’ll find the same golden circle with four golden crosses as you have seen on the floor in the dining hall in front of the big staircase. You also remember, you found a mysterious keyhole on one of the steps of the staircase in the dining hall. Maybe you should go and check?
g. Use the golden key from the cabinet in the Secret Cathedral in the keyhole you found on the staircase.
This magically opens the Angel Portal, and you see 3 angels that look identical to the angels that magically appeared above each of the golden key pillars in the Secret Cathedral. Each of the angels hold a specific number. Can you find out how to use these numbers?
h. Solution:
Match up the angels in the Angel Portal with the angels above each of the pillars in the Secret Cathedral and find the correct order of the numbers they are holding.
The correct code is:
6 – 8 – 7
Use this code for the golden padlock you’ll find on the floor in the Secret Cathedral.
Entering the correct code, will cause the carpet to move and unveil a Golden Exit Key and 3 Spheres – Gold, Silver, Bronze. Take all 4 items.
a. Where can you use the Golden Exit Key?
b. Locate the Exit and use the Golden Exit Key.
c. Once you get outside, you see a Jacob’s Ladder with the 3 orphans in front of it. They are standing looking at you behind three cauldrons.
d. What should you do? Can you use the Spheres to put inside the cauldrons?
e. Which Sphere should go into which cauldron?
f. Have you checked the photo frames in the Dining Hall? Are there any photo frames with photos of the 3 orphans waiting to be set free?
g. How can you use these frames to know which Sphere to put where?
h. Solution:
Place the Spheres according to the colours of the photo frames and the orphans in these specific frames:
BRONZE – GOLD – SILVER
After you have placed the Spheres correctly, the cauldrons will “fly” to the orphans’ hands, and the gate to heaven will open, and the orphans will be set free.

I'm having trouble with why up/down and left/right are not opposites. Instead they're adjacent according to your guide
Left cauldron:
3 Right, 1 Left, 4 Up, 2 Down
Right Cauldron:
7 Up, 5 Right, 8 Down, 6 Left
But nothing is happening. Clicking very slowly, too.
