Things this mod gets 'awesomer':
- parts of the focus tree only accesible with paladin - scribe system, alowing actual use before late game plus having more uses for paladins is way cooler.
-EXPEDITIONS!! great stuff. RPG experience of depth and consequence generaly lacking in these games, but not so random to be unreliable and annoying.
-option to at least partialy benefit from difrent political sides focuses since they aren't so mutualy exclusive as in ad victoram.
things Ad Victoriam gets 'awesomer':
-helping and benefiting from other brotherhod chapters focuses.
-more player control over starting the war against NCR and alternative options for meaningful coexistance.
-more numerous and more meaningful 'end game' focuses allowing the player to develop the brotherhood towards a proper large state. (focuses, economy and recrutiment policies as well as advisors)
As you take advantage of the 'sweet' option of expeditions and the like. (Instead of just sitting in a bunker and brooding like in 'canon' Fallout xD)
I wish there are more options for it. As well as a way to keep the 'tech' I researched instead of starting from zero. (As again, why pick that option beyond role-playing? As you would lose all your researched tech and the like)
I wanna join the NCR - without becoming just a re-skinned Rogue Rangers expy.
A bit more focus and 'national spirits' to difference us between the Rangers. (As again, we'd have much in the way of Power Armor and people trained in the use. Thus we'd likely be something of a Heavy Infantry within ourselves)
As well as perhaps cooperating with the Followers. Kinda like what Veronica tried to do in New Vegas. As being the 'muscle' for the Followers 'kindness'. Heh, that could be an idea? Followers + Brotherhood = Followers of Steel. Giving the Followers some 'bite' and use for the NCR yet having our own 'policy' for improving the Wasteland?
I should probably add some kind of event with the followers, though! I kind of gloss over their existence in the NCR, imagining that you more-or-less bring them all into Maxson State, and there's still not enough narrative for them. The BoS advisors also don't transfer over properly, which I think I've figured out.
But yeah. Steel Rangers feel like the only 'second way' option for the Brotherhood. Beyond 'go and fight' NCR in three different flavors. (This is assuming you don't go to war against the NCR as Reformers)
So...yeah. A bit more events or the like would always be best.
Or are you looking for something more comprehensive? I'd certainly need a suggestion, here. The way the NCR and BoS are written everything kind of revolves around that central tension, and I can't see a way of sidestepping it.
The LDP (not the Maxson for a Truce, which is designed to just let you build up when the legion is crushing) has follow up events to restore the Mojave Brotherhood and start your Air/Sea focus trees early, what would you like to see for the Maxson for a Truce side?
