Fallen Tree use Suggestion/s
This is a great idea. I hope it works well.
My suggestions for placement:
River banks, any ledges on the outside of a river bend, a place that is most likely to erode naturally. Where they would fall away from the edge, top down, roots up.
Can you make "Log Jams", this would be places in rivers where obstructions create natural barriers for fallen and floating logs, rapids and the tops of waterfalls. Obviously more of this in heavily wooded areas, less in the open tundra area. And some along the edges of mashes and swamps, they would tumble over time.
Skyrim is great for wandering. I've always loved the streams, rivers and forests, but it's always bothered me how un-naturally clean the riverbeds are. These fallen trees and debris that should be there are what make real life natural locals so great.
That's it. Thanks. If it's too much to ask, don't worry it's still a good mod idea.

I've currently got this mod "faved", awaiting offcial completeion then I'm certain I'll add it right away!

Hi there! :D Didn't see your suggestion quick enough because I was working on the mod! Aha! The update on the 13th will add in many more of those assets you suggested. Along with spreading over the entire province. I look forward to releasing it in it's fullness. And thank you for the kind words. :)

If i may suggest a few ares, put trees in the reach, i know its a mountainous scrub land but i suggest putting some areound forsworn encampments as makeshift barricades and roadblocks. Also the swamp in hjalmarch near Morthal has a lot of trees, but for a multi thousands year old mire it has very few rotting logs that are common in swamps

Yea i would like to follow up a little on my earlier observation that streambeds seem too clean. I've come to realize almost all forests are "too clean" in Skyrim. I spend lots of time outside in reali life if I can and almost all the forest in skyrim are in dire need of some "nurse logs" and forest debris. I know it's not possible to mimic a real forest, but there are so few fallen trees in the Skyrim woods. Not to suggest overwhleming yourself with placing 100's of new logs, but the forests need more. But it can wait.

That's alright, it's not overwhelming. I've gone through the rivers, canyons and waterfalls, adding many fallen trees and log jams, just like you've suggested. You shouldn't base the final mod on what I have released right now. The current version so far too incomplete.

No problem man, looks like it's a popular one, you'll have your work cut out for ya. Any forest enhancement throughout the lands is totally cool with me!

My suggestion is maybe if you could add a really big fallen tree, and make it a waypoint.
So, idk if this is a good suggestion but, yeah. Also name it "The Fallen Willow."

I do have one concern now, what kind of effect could this have on player made homes? I'm currently using Riverside Lodge, is it possible for two mods like this to conflict?
Xaxxas  [developer] 8 Jul, 2014 @ 11:30pm
Nope! I have the mod too. :)

And if there ever are issues with playerhomes, I can always get around to removing the log that is conflicting. But it's highly unlikley there will be.

I have yet to use this mod, but if there arent any trees that cross the river that dragons bridge does, there should be.

You should make an other mod that places fallen pillers in darven/mines and achint ruins
sorry my spelling is not that great !

if you havent thought of this already, yyou should add mushrooms and critters around and on them, especially if they are rotting, but this is an awesome mod, its a great idea andi cant wait for the final version!
