[VJ] Half-Life: Alyx SNPCs (2/2)
Problems/Updates about the mod that -I- think should be addressed.
All of them: They should have normal ragdolls. Instead of stiff body and noodle limbs.




Combine:

They all should have an armed while walking animation, like the original combine do. Sorry if thats a bit butchered, i couldnt explain well,
They should crouch instead of the Zombine Gunner.
They should aslo be able to try and lure you to them, like "Hey alyx its us!" or some other taunts if your in hiding "Hostile is experiencing extreme panic, NO I'M NOT!"
While their not moving, (or idle i should say) they should move the middle top of their body's towards their friends, or their surroundings.
They have completely different weapon models.

The Grunts:
Fact: Lower unit, easy to kill if you hit their propane tank.
The propane tanks should have been random, like you did with the zombies, as in the game, where its sometimes no propane or yes propane. Instead of just removing the tank and still igniting it while its not even there.
You should be able to shoot the grenades and start on their grenade holders.

Ordinals:
Fact: Commanding unit, orders them to attack. Summons manhacks if their in trouble or your in trouble.
They should actually make their units move in, instead of making the notion and they stand still.
Should spawn 2-3 manhacks. Instead of 1.
should have a little unloaded manhack on their back left side of their belt. (dont code it so it disappears once a manhack spawns.)

Charger:
Fact: They have a shield which they use 1-2 times and can flash you if you stare at them to long.
Their Shoulder Armor shouldn't be a shade of blue, should be a blueish black, or blackish blue.
Their Shield arm should emit a light or a flash if looking at the shield for to long. They even have a line for it.
If a headcrab is in close to them, the headcrab should gib if shot by the charger shotgun.

Suppressor:
Fun Obvious Fact: The Suppressors keeps Alyx behind cover while their units push you.
He shouldnt just run, he has a walk animation too.
He should actually suppress while the units push.
If you shoot him in the head, his eye lens should go red.
He has a reload animation

Suggestions:
Strider
Fact: Big and scary. Cannon penis. sharp legs, sometimes used for construction in HL:A.

Barnacle
Fact: eats headcrabs and zombies. Couldn't eat a whole combine though


Zombies:

2-3 headshots to kill them. 5 bodyshots to kill them.

They should do the normal ragdoll body instead of a stiff body with only movable arms.

Instead of being swallowed whole, barnacles should just eat the headcrab.

Electrical Zombies shock line should bend and aim around walls and objects and towards you instead of being a straight line.

Suggestions:

Electrical zombies Lightning Dog should move around on the body of its host.

Electrical Reviver going into its host should play the sting it plays when exiting or entering a dead zombie.

There should be different Idles, like the leaning on the wall, sitting on a chair, or just laying down completely. Should start before they actually see you and then they will stop doing that animation.


These are not demands, im not angry or anything. There is NO pressure AT ALL. This is just a list, take your time. ccc123 :)

i agree, except no antlions. however im discontinuing updates on the 4 hla combine temporarily due to personal reasons.

the grunts killing you faster than default combine is kinda fair because of the HLA Combine being a bit dumb sometimes

There is already an amazing HL:A Antilion SNPC pack on the Worshop.
i think there always was a lightning dog limping animation, for when they are heavily damaged.
