Suggestions
Here's a few ideas of how to address Food without cutting it:

1) Make almost all Rural States have at least some Food yields. Right now Korea produces ZERO food, which is definitely incorrect, because the Japanese actually extracted food from Korea and Taiwan because their home islands couldn't food their full population... Which makes a Democracy Japan VERY interesting to play.
2) Have the political decision to generate more Food in a state cost: 547 Days, 6 Factories for the full duration, and 30 PP- this would give roughly 4-7 additional Food. It should be available on all Rural States that don't already produce Food, or if they do, be limited by Resource Extraction 2, 3, and 4. And then just make a LOT of states able to gain more food through these decisions. The reason for the incredibly long time period is that doing the same thing, but in the real world, would actually take 10 years, but... Yeah no, not in a Hoi4 game.
3) Make war fighting in a State decrease Food yields by half, but creates a decision to restore Food yields. Roughly the same cost as above, though.
4) Make recruiting population from a state reduce Food yield in that State.
5) Reduce the amount of population each food represents to 250,000 OR make each million population consume 4 Food; that way food demand can go up naturally and cost to buy food is more reasonable.
6) A lot more nations had food vulnerabilities that what is represented in this mod. USSR, US, Spain, Britain, Canada, Australia, India, all African countries, most South American countries, all Chinese countries, Italy, and Germany all had major food rationing during the war. Roughly half of them had outright starvation. Right now the mod's problem is that there is far too much food being produced in the US and USSR. The mod just needs balancing to address the food problem: it doesn't need to be cut and honestly adds A LOT to the game.

When it comes to war fighting in a state half for just fighting alone might be too much.

For non-food stuff, I only have this:
---Please extend stockpiling to all resources.
---Please add ~10 Steel cost to all Structure construction.
---Please add more decisions to create new resources all over the world; especially in Africa, South America, etc, but make them rely on high tech levels and high factory cost to dissuade the AI from doing them.
---Please add a way to trade stockpiled resources.
