Mmm while observing, I can see that after some time some vassals become feudal, and they dont revert to Imperial government. Ive seen the whole empire become feudal again over time, and once I jumped in as the Empeor to see if I could make a vassal imperial government manually, but nothing.

Maybe safeproof that vassals stay in correct government type within the Byzantine Empire.

I also saw that the Serbian vassal in 1066 was Themata, but shouldnt he, according to this mod be a Foederati?

Yea i've been working on the bugfixes to specificly fix issues like this
"I also saw that the Serbian vassal in 1066 was Themata, but shouldnt he, according to this mod be a Foederati?"

expect there to be bugs :)

with how i used the contract system its quite a mess and a pain to get right tbh.

you can be feudal under the government. there is a decision to convert to the imperial government as a feudal.

For the contracts, I already made a custom solution for my own gaming, that I am currently balancing, I could share my tweaks with you so you can pick and choose whatever you like from it. Maybe on discord?

About the decision to go feudal, how does it work?
becaue shouldnt it go through the Emperor, to grant feudal rights? Or else you risk the player to constantly go around trying to clean up vassals who turn feudal if the player wants their vassals to stay imperial.

Also one more thing about the last part, I didnt see any decision to make the feudal vassal return to imperial, so I am guessing you then have to revoke the traditional way, which makes sense, but then its even more improtant I think that the Emperor have to grant feudal rights, and not a vassal just getting it without permission.

the decision is if you vassalize someone with the feudal government. the person with the feudal government will have a decision to adopt roman government.

I do have a character interaction similar to seize title called regime change but its currently disabled.

if you want to manually enabled it look for it under character interactions

I enabled it and now the AI keeps its vassals as Imperial Government, working nicely!
