Can you add the ability for the Sectopods to extend their legs like enemy Sectopods, to gain the elevation boost?

Normally it's an ability that is given to them as squaddie

The ability isn't in any tree for some reason, not even squaddie. Also, would you consider making the Sectopod not have a will bar? I never understood that about the original mod and here why the Sectopod has will, unless it's for balancing for it to have a will and be tired so you don't bring it to every mission.

This is more of mod information request. For reference, please consider uploading a skill tree/ability tree screenshot for each of the alien mods, just so people can get a quick glimpse and to make sure it's working for people fine :steamthumbsup:

Would it be possible to customize the sectopod in the armory to use different skins? Either vanilla, like the white prototype skin from lost towers, or modded ones? Or maybe add skins in the mod itself to better distinguish the XCOM sectopod from the advent ones.

To do this, that would mean changing the unit's mesh, and that is outside of my capabilities at the moment

alright, thanks for the response. maybe in the future you can revisit the idea, would be real cool. I remember an old playable aliens mod that had something like this for the alien units to reskin them in the armory.
Can you add couple new abilities? LIke passively grants some shield points, passively repairs some hp, new deadly weapons with cooldown and possibly buff sectopod? Really want to make playable sectopod match behemoth tank mod because that would be really cool...

That can be done. It would be added to the "initialState" ability.

For the weapons, I dont know, that might require 3D / 2D work, and I can't do 3D modelling
You can use existing ones as new ones, just with different animations, behavior.. And with specials. I also have a idea to give sectopod a "bladestorm" ability, it's same as lighting field but it sets sectopod on overwatch and ends turn, when enemy gets close enough sectopod will emit a energy blast dealing 6 - 10 lifeloss damage and after that, at begging of turn sectopod can attack again

Animations are another thing that I do not know how to do, the electrical bladestorm is a good idea though
I'm dropping another idea, make low stance useful: It provides higher survivability(more defence for example)

The Playable Sectopod use the Base game stances, so mod that alter it (like this one : https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1131046131) will work
