Instead of having a progressive debuffs for not going to war have it be if twenty years pass without wars a local warband goes and starts a random war. This could be with any empire bordering the player that can be declared on. On a side note will there be a possibility of new civics that can only be used with this origin like for example what besides being savages is the empire like are they necromancers, technocrats, slavers, ect. However compared to the other normal civics these civics will have a unique take on the base game civic, that will make encountering/playing as one of these empires truly different from run to run.

Hii @StreamPunkAngel.
About the civics: In the first moments, that is what I thought doing. Through development, I decided that is better to have different ascension paths to "specialize" your playstyle, like if they were evolving after numerous interactions with other empires, learning their ways live.
Don't get me wrong! Maybe on the future we end up doing a few civics, after all, we are still experimenting.

About the War: Why no both? Let's say... Your people want war. They start having some less happiness after a few years, minus stability, and Boom! a Random War, with a way goal other than Lust for Chaos.

Thanks for your suggestions, I'll be thinking on them!

Interesting mod, that points toward the old well known Primitive Players 2.0 mod direction. Many thanks for bringing those glory 'roleplay' days back, very much appreciated. :steamhappy:

Besides that, I thought on how your savage primitives could get full developed empires:

- having them getting subjugated by any other developed empire will raise their status to developed themselves (Overlord dlc inspiration) so they are able to start usual diplomatic contacts with other empires

- have them conquer and/or subjugate any other developed empire or conquering some of their well developed planets...not unlike to the barbarians that conquered Rome in the ancient time and with the whole looting and pillaging they earned enough tech and culture to found their very own developed empire afterwards

Lowering consumer goods upkeep might be a good idea

A idea and this is just me, having a civic for empires that don't have the savage primitives origin that is unremoveable. It would be where their still primitives but they are more refined primitives their ships still take minerals and they can't engage with any other empire without the same civic or origin. The main difference is they lack the buffs from the origin like the lust for chaos and the bonus after completing reinventing the wheel situation. Primarily because I think it would be cool to play a primitive empire while using a origin like subterranean or post apocalyptic.

The inability to even make 1st contact would be neat. (Same goes for others, maybe give both sides an insane ammount of first contact difficulty or something)

Thou I'd made that a seperate addon/patch mod to install on top of this one.
Or perhaps in the form of a Civic that gives civic points and requires the primitives civic, like the above.

Would it be possible for primitive buildings, where they give bonus for certain types of jobs. Like a primitive foundry would provide bonus to alloy output form pops for example.
