I'm still struggling to try and understand things
Unfortunely no ,it has been some time since last time I played it but I spent quite alot of time and couldn't figure it out
Do you remember to how wake up the Moss Golem at least?
I'm assuming that's where I can get the Elementary Magic Slate from but I've yet to figure that out too.
Thats correct, it comes from them. To wake them up you need to go to the starting biome , grab some water from the lakes there and put one in any of the rocks there and try to break it ,it will turn into a golem. Iirc the loot is better if you kill one that comes from the biggest rocks and they will even drop a item to spawn more. The water can be also used to make the smaller rocks grow into bigger ones iirc.
As of what you asked (with moss rock-golem delisted for obvious reason):
Misty forest
- Mist treant: Chance for nearby misty tree to turn into one when you chop one down
Frozen land
- Schwyz: Chance encounter when you mine krystallos in its largest state
- Ice Rock-golem: Approach its sleeping version during winter, has cooldown (4-5 days), starting from beginning of each winter or its defeat
- Crevasse: Freeze the cold lake (-35 degree or below) with cold source (takes a long time) during winter, then mine the frozen lake
Lava field
- Lavarock: Defeat lavaslime (approach any non largest lava lake for that), and make sure there's a dwarf star around its corpse (keep the star alight while transforming)
- Basalt Rock-golem: Works like ice rock-golem, except during summer
- Lavalord: During summer: raise the central/largest lava lake to max temperature (90 degree or above) and have a dwarf star close to it
Stormy valley
- Lectbee: Nothing special, it'll come out from its nest during day, or when you approach the nest
- Lecrhino: During spring and rain, strike the lectbee nest with lightning (use "the end is nigh!" for that) 66 times
