spears not working properly

Hello i built a tranq spear and it sets mobs on fire but doesn't tranq them. also none of the arrows will work with the primitive bow.

Arrows will only work with the Spitfire bow

thank you. is there going to be any fix for the spears? really would like to try the tranq parts of the spears
