Custom backpack help discussion.
The custom backpack integration can get tricky at times, so if anybody wishes to ask me or others questions, here would be a great place to ask!

trying to make the drone pop out the back using winches, already got most the logic done but i want it to be toggleable as well as have seat connection to it (auxilary) if i can't make it toggleable

hmm, if i understand correctly, use an OR gate
Is there a way I can attach a gun with the same controls as the built in one to the back?
I'm not all that good at building or tinkering whatsoever so I have no idea where to start
I'm thinking of making the missile attachment like shown in the pictures, but also some sort of arty or tank like gun

yeah thats totally possible! the backpack provides all seat outputs that the preinstalled guns use, 6 to activate and trigger to shoot would be the best use as the 5 hotkey for the wrist rockets is pretty embedded for use on the left arm specifically, however its not impossible to repurpose for backpack use.
Okay thank you also can you perhaps upload the one that had the missiles on it? I'd like to try it before I spend an hour building it

i dont quite know which one youre speaking of... however talos' hardpoint backpack can mount missiles if thats what youre looking for
So on the topic of the water cannon. I have taken the hardpoint backpack as a base, and firstly gutted the "backpack" and filled it in with 2 large fluid tanks, each one connected into a series of pipes that leads to both of them connecting to the anchor on the backpack, as well as modified the "turret" itself to no longer have weapon attachment slots, but rather being essentially a block with the central line being anchor connected to the "input" part of the pump which has a nozzle on it's output. But it won't fire, I made sure the water tanks are set to be full, and while I am sad that I broke it's aim-tracking(for now) I am more upset that the actual water cannon will not fire. Do I need pipes in-between the anchor/nozzle and the pump?
EDIT: Found out that I was being dumb. Pump is now in the backpack and the turret now has a set of 3 strait pipes in it's place, will update on whether it works now.
EDIT 2: Not working, but I realized that I had skipped a step I need to have a gate connected to the pump. Fixing.
EDIT 3: Still not working, Though I have noticed that the two anchors are BOTH "input" yet have been unable to find any means to change the one on the backpack to "output"... Help?
EDIT 4: Got the water to come out now, anchors being "input" wasn't the problem. Me forgetting to power everything WAS. But it does, in fact, fire water now.
Issue being that it doesn't fire it very well.. As in, it is basically just spitting it out every second or so with all the force of a gentle breeze.
Edit 5: Swapped stuff around, got a tutorial vid to teach me the magic of custom fluid containers and pumps and so on, re-designed my system to also include a large pump. End result is that I now have significantly more water, and the water comes out with a decent bit of force. Issue is that it is STILL kinda weak. Any tips?

physically place the nozzle block before you place the pump, stormworks it weird like that, if that fails use an impeller pump with a medium motor, talos will supply it with infinite electric

i stand corrected, did some testing, make sure you physically place your nozzle block AFTER you have placed your pump block, this can yield twice the distance production.

Either way, this is the result. A very weak shower of water.
Edit 1: Just tested with litreally a flat plank with a box full of water, power, and a simple set of pipes connecting the nozzle and the pump to their respective anchors.

i couldnt say, not without seeing the physical mechanics in your design at least...
